Pretty sure it is a religious joke and not a racist joke. But it doesn’t matter, the butt of the joke is not Christians or white Americans, so it is inappropriate in our PC world.

WRONG. It's now politically correct to attack all religion. Have you seen the anti- god (Allah), billboards along the highways? They say there is no god, and therefore no Allah.
Hey, the left made these rules - not me. This guys sign is absolutely PC. Those signs say Allah is a myth, so why not this guys?

I was in Javier’s Mexican restaurant yesterday, in Clovis, CA...a favorite of mine (chile verde, pork chimichangas, etc.) and I mentioned to my husband you never see Muslims there...the light went on when I read this...they do serve lots of yummy pork. A gripe of mine is why do Muslim women all have to be covered up with head scarfs on and readily identifiable, and the Muslim guys wear regular American garb? If things go bad, and it could happen, some of those women might be at risk but the guys get to go incognito...not fair.

I think the premise of the owner (who didn’t spell restaurant correctly) is wrong. I love BBQ, but actually those types restaurants are the most at danger. Besides rudely taunting the ragheads, he has pointed to a target where a suicidal jihadist can take out as many “non-believers” as possible without risk of harming a follower of Muhammad.

Saw the debate in Saudi Arabia for years about the ban on pork. One of the best ones was a question to the Imam about eating pork if avoiding eating it meant starvation. The nutshell answer was it's still wrong but they can eat it under extreme circumstances if it's the only food around.

Story goes when Muslims would visit America they would purposely find out of the way good BBQ places. Eating pork there was OK in that instance as it was the only food "available."

Early in my career, I worked for a Jewish fellow in the furniture business. I became a buyer for his stores and attended the Markets in High Point (area) and Atlanta.

He kept kosher at home. His wife saw to that. But, on my first trip to HP, we stopped and enjoyed breakfast, NC style. He loved scrapple, and country ham, red eye gravy*, eggs and grits! We also enjoyed some mighty fine oysters and shrimp...

* for you Nawtheners, red eye gravy is made up of pan drippings from the salt-cured country ham, and coffee... with or without a flour thickener.
