Like beating on His Royal Arseness’ limo is going to lower their tuition fees. Kids, get a real job and quit emulating those parasites Charles and Camilla.
There aren’t any job out there.
Tuition to jump from about $5k to $14k. Good Grief! Must be subsidized to the hilt, even at $14k... and compare to 4-year colleges here at $35 to $40k.
If I were in Parliament, I would respond by putting up to vote for literal shutdown in universities as a punishment. If that did not wok, a quadrupling or more increase in tuition as a reaction, with further cuts.
that would be tuition at $30,000/year, as a punishment to all in reaction to the riots.
Actually, my Scottish friends report there are some service and manufacturing jobs available but not the kind college-educated kids are willing to take.
I don’t know the history of tuition in UK; but, I bet I know how it goes:
1. Everybody gets free education
2. Taxes go up - but its ok, you’re getting a free education
3. Everybody not living in poverty will have to pay some small amount
4. Make that a slightly higher amount
5. Oh sh!t, we’re so broke we have to triple what people pay
6. There :). Everybody pays higher taxes, and pays tuition.
How do these jackasses find time to riot? I was too busy either studying or working.
What the heck was their protection detail thinking letting them drive through there?!
Silly students, don’t they know the government will simply give them more to pay their tuition, fees, rent, food bills and so on? Prince Charlie is one of them, a PC kook and Muslim. Cut the guy some slack.
And don’t think it can’t and won’t happen here. Did you see all those RED banners in the mob? Students or ‘rent a mob’?
If they’d have just shot these asswipes, the next group would think twice...

Ah ,getting a degree as a means of social climbing. Worked for William’s future wife.
She got a degree in the History of Art and has spent the past eight years bone idle and chasing the ring. He main job has been jet setting with William and shopping and all sorts of other stuff.
Plus clubbing and coming out of clubs drunk.
