Shouldn’t that concept justify an abstention, and not a ‘no’ vote?

The whole vote was a waste of time. If they wanted to do something give the man CIA support.

If you think the honoring is unconstitutional, you would vote against it.
If you thought the vote was a waste of time, you’d abstain.

Yep. Cut all this meaningless stuff, cut 3 months off the legislative schedule, and make the positions part-time, with a 33% pay cut.

Ron Paul. Where in the constitution does it say a duty of the federal government is to vote resolutions of honor, much less resolutions of honor for non-citizens? If that's his logic, I'd have to agree with it. At least he is trying to do what the Constitution provides.

Does Dr Paul think it is unconstitutional? Source?
To: Ted Grant
We were told to guess. That was my guess -- it usually is his reason for voting no on these things.
I really doubt he was actually opposed to the guy getting a Nobel Peace Prize.
On the other hand, the hot air folks had fun with this Ron Paul Casts Lone Vote...
