Behind those closed doors
In exchange, I fear McConnell gave the Dems a verbal agreement to support amnesty. This aint over yet.

Well, they are now the experts on pushing things too far.

#3 Where are the teachers of economy esp. on our side explaining this. Republicans gave up years ago on "dynamic scoring" which accounted for the effect that higher or lower taxes would have on the economy.
Currently they all subscribe to "static analysis," meaning that they assume that the change in taxes either will have no or little effect on the economy and then project accordingly.

We haven’t seen or heard ANYTHING from the Queen Bee (Pelousy), and she is probably so pissed at not being included in discussions that they don’t want her blabbering and making even MORE trouble within the Proleteriat. She’s probably so pissed she can’t talk.

If the Democrats walk out, what happens to the unemployment insurance part of this deal?
Do the Dems. really want to be blamed for the loss of an additional 13 months?
I think they’ll have to go along with this deal “for the sake of the unemployed”.

If they start including some of their pet projects into this compromise when it comes to the tax code, you could find a walkout on the Democratic side. People saying, Youve just pushed it too far. HA HA HA, this is exactly what the RATS have done for years, put all the "pet projects (PORK)" into a bill they want passed!!!!

LET'EM WALK...there's 21 Dim Senators up for relection in 2012. 'Walking-out' is just the kind of incentive needed to ensure their unplanned retirement.

Sen. Dick Durbin, who voted for the Deficit Commission's recommendations, has already said Democrats could "walk out." Let us not forget the "walk out" of a few years ago from the People's House. As they shut off the lights, mikes, and cameras...

I can't say I blame him for this. The 2009-2010 period in Congress was eerily similar to what played out in 1993-94 . . . when Democrats pursued a hard leftist agenda at the urging of the White House and were then kicked to the curb when the political winds turned against them.
I even remember Bill Clinton making one of the most astonishing statements after the 1994 GOP landslide, when he complained that Congress passed a budget bill with enormous tax hikes that he didn't like, but he signed it anyway "for the good of the country."
I remember thinking at the time: "That budget bill was exactly what you wanted, you jack@ss . . . and you had your administration go out and strong-arm Democrats in Congress to support the stupid thing!"

Virginia Senator Mark Warner was on CNBC this morning talking about how he didn't necessarily want to support the deal unless there were triggers to ensure there would be a focus on deficit reduction. They could start by declining any government funds that go to your state, if you're really interested in deficit reduction.

Democrats now concerned with deficits? I just saw a pig fly...

Great—and, while they’re at it, maybe they can reprise the epic Dem walkout in the Texas legislature several years ago where they left the STATE. Hey, Durbin: take your homies down to visit Chavez.

The dems sure are holding fast to their talking points -
“the GOP is holding middle class tax cuts hostage to giving bailouts to millionaires and billionaires”.
You really have to have a screwed up worldview to believe crap like that... or be intentionally deceptive.

Senator Dirtbin,
As my Senator, I COMMAND You to walk out! This will ensure a complete rout of Democrats in 2012 and the end of the Obama Presidency. Higher taxes for a couple of years would be a small price to pay - so GO!
