Recently, a left wing commentator named Keith Olbermann attacked me for being a spokesperson for abstinence education and for being an Ambassador for the Candies Foundation, which promotes teen pregnancy awareness and prevention education. He went so far as to call me "the worst person" he knows, apparently, for my efforts to educate teenagers about the real world risks of premarital sex.
Accusing me of hypocrisy is by now, an old canard. What Mr. Olbermann lacks in originality he makes up for with insincere incredulity. Mr. Olbermann fails to understand that in order to have credibility as a spokesperson, it sometimes takes a person who has made mistakes. Parents warn their children about the mistakes they made so they are not repeated. Former gang members travel to schools to educate teenagers about the risks of gang life. Recovered addicts lecture to others about the risks of alcohol and drug abuse. And yes, a teen mother talks about the benefits of preventing teen pregnancy.
I have never claimed to be perfect. If that makes me the "worst person in the world" to Mr. Olbermann, then I must apologize for not being absolutely faultless like he undoubtedly must be.
To Mr. Olbermann let me say this: you can attack me all you want. But you will not stop me from getting my message out about teen pregnancy prevention. And one day, if you ever have a daughter, you may change your mind about me.

I think that Olberdork was trying to bait Sarah Palin into a fight with his attack on Bristol in order to jack up his ratings.
Instead, Bristol puts Olbermann in his place with a simple Facebook post. Another epic fail for Olbermann.
the only thing i wished is she started the piece with, “In front of the dozens of viewers who tune in each night, Keith olberwoman attacked me”....
If a female would be so self-loathing as to sleep with this low-life and got pregnant, he’d see to it that ‘it’ was aborted. Now that’s what I call a necessary abortion.

What is so special about canard that a reasonably well educated adult would not be aware of it?
And if someone wrote it for her, so what. Though to me it seems straightforward.
It is an entirely unreasonable assumption on your part, and does more to cast aspersions on her despite your flattery of her.

Those who nitpick over her choice of words and mutter about it being a 'prepared' statement, as if Bristol had nothing to do with it, are the same folks who 'question' Bristol's mothers 'qualifications' for the presidency. Nothing Bristol (or her accomplished mom) ever says or does will be quite good enough for those folks and they will always, always have 'questions'. One hopes some of them will drop the 'conservative' act and go back to blogging on the Daily Koz or Huffington Post where they can wallow in Palin hatred all day long and be applauded for it. That won't happen here.
