Although the U.S. Defense Department and North American Aerospace Defense Command have speculated publicly that the unidentified contrail of a projectile soaring into the skies off the California coast – and recorded by a KCBS television crew – came from a jet and posed no security threat to the U.S., several experts are raising provocative and disturbing questions about the government's official response, reports Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin.
Two governmental military experts with extensive experience working with missiles and computer security systems have examined the television video and conclude the mysterious contrail originating some 30 miles off the coast near Los Angeles did not come from a jet – but rather, they say the exhaust and the billowing plume emanated from a single source nozzle of a missile, probably made in China.

Like I said earlier, I have 44 years of watching the sunset on the SoCal coast.
The changes in color are beautiful. The colors change from day to day, occasionally because the smog, usually not over the sea, is blown out there by desert wind (Santanas).
Then there are the ever changing clouds, which sometimes hover around the islands, looking like islands themselves.
Tonight there were trails of two planes, which also continually changed. The two trails looked different, one being more recent by my estimation.
There are several civilian airports in the area (LAX, John Wayne, Long Beach, Ontario, Burbank—all flying commercial jets in and out).
There are also military airfields in SoCal.
The take offs and landing directions can be reversed, for Santanas.
I did not see the subject contrail; not video; not in person; not even stills.
I imagine if Vandenberg shot a missile, but wanted it to be secret, they might say: “...sorry, no missile from us today.”
On the side of missile, we have ONE Brig. General. Probably wants his shot at 15 minutes of fame.
I’ll go with plane. I’m more worried about China refusing to buy our financial securities. Classify me as rational.

FWIW, I've flown in and out of most of those airports. My favorite flights in the late 70s were Golden West's dusk Twin Otter hop from LAX, down the coast -- just offshore -- to John Wayne. What a spectacular view!!!
My observatory is set up with a clear view of the sunset horizon, because I like to observe Mercury and sun-grazing comets. So I have a great familiarity with (and appreciation of) the sky colors through sunset and twilight.
Few folks realize how long after sunset the sky at 30K+ feet is still illuminated with bright, white sunlight. That's how the Hawaii (wide) end of the subject contrail remained brightly lighted, even when the LA area was already in darkness...
I still have a whole set of graphics featuring custom color gradients representing the twilight sky during this event -- that I haven't yet published.
For the "missile believers", no evidence to the contrary is enough, so posting them here is mostly wasted effort. I may open up some pages on my own web domain to publish all the diverse aspects of my "missile/contrail" analyses in one cohesive place...
Frankly, I'm appalled at the tone of these threads. Even I can't resist taking the occasional defensive backhanded swipe after an extended amount of sneering and name-calling when I'm trying to present scientific analyses... :-(

I have seen a lot of missile launches, this was one. Why not the US shooting a warning shot across the bow of a foreign sub. Not to blow it up but to say I know you’re there...go away. This kind of saber rattling has been going on for many years. And to admit to it brings embarrassment to the foreign power, we don’t want to do that, we test the waters of foreign Gov.’s all the time and so do they -—whoever it was.
Joe, I agree with your analysis. Anybody who has any experience with missile launches confirms that this was indeed a missile. Anyone who thinks it’s a jet contrail is looking for the most “mainstream” answer, not the most likely. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it’s a duck.

First, some of the footage clearly shows bright orange flame which, in my mind, makes it hard to believe it’s a jet contrail.
Second, they interviewed Robert Ellsworth, a former congressman from the state of Kansas, Ambassador to NATO (1969- 71), Assistant Secretary of Defense (1974-75) and Deputy Secretary of Defense (1975-77). Without any equivocation in his voice, at the 39 second mark in the video, he flat out says, “It is a big missile”.
In my mind, it’s obviously a government missile and my belief is that it was launched from a Chinese submarine. In the past, they have surprised American warships by immersing within eyesight without being detected beforehand. An action like this is right down the alley of the Chinese.
Now you know why the government keeps calling it an airplane.
If it was just another plane, then it would have never made the news. End of story....

The contrail in question was not a fixed wing aircraft. Contrails begin to evaporate fairly soon after generation.
Additionally, the exhaust trail in question has a shape, depth, density, and opacity that is totally alien to contrails.
Ladies/Gents, that is the exhaust trail of a solid propellant rocket; not a liquid fuelled rocket or aircraft contrail - SOLID PROPELLANT ROCKET.
Now, who launched it is another question.”

The Chris Baker Show - right now on AM 950 KPRC in houston. He just said that the scuttle butt going around the pentagon - privately - is that this was a missile launched from “Chinese territory” in protest of the US participating in the military exercises in the Yellow Sea.

CBS station KFMB put in calls to the Navy and Air Force Monday night about the striking launch off the coast of Los Angeles, which was easily visible from the coast, but the military has said nothing about the launch.
KFMB showed video of the apparent missile to former U.S. Ambassador to NATO Robert Ellsworth, who is also a former Deputy Secretary of Defense, to get his thoughts.

You can see the spiraling in the trail, then you can see the correction in the trajectory and the spin gets tighter and the trail quits spiraling.
There was a wobble in the spiral and it was corrected.

That was one of the worst tornadoes in the history of the DC area.
Even though I'd grown up on the East Side of Indianapolis near a well-known touch-down area and had seen numerous wall clouds, I'd never seen one like the one I saw that day ~ things like this could make you believe that interdimensional portals exist ~ yet, all it is, in reality, is a bunch of air and water.
The pic in 143 blows your single zoomed in and doctored pic of the contrail away. If you’d LOOK at it, you’d see. But no, you’re all in and will never admit to being wrong.
BTW, that launch pic looks NOTHING like the contrail if you knew what you were talking about. I highly doubt your claims of any real life experience.

What happens in situations like this is that WHAT is RIGHT gets ignored in favor of WHO is right.
Some people make snap judgments, or find one source who supports their theory, and the LOCK in on it. They KNOW they are right, therefore any FACTS presented later are just ignored.
What I usually find in these cases is that the LESS one knows, the more convinced they are that THEY are RIGHT.
Since they have no real facts to use for argument, they resort to personal attacks.
The CAMERAMAN HIMSELF could put an article on the INTERNET stating that they filmed the plane's trail for a half hour, and that they had already determined exactly which plane it was, and that CBS edited the video to make it look more like a missile..... and yet those who "KNOW" they are right would say Obama got them drunk on beer and made them say it.
Looks like you need to spend some time learning how to format your posts so that your true intentions get through.

You cannot convince people of something they DO NOT WANT TO understand.
Remember as well, there are those who are good at abstract thought, and those who are not.
Those who are not believe that if they mark a straight line through the ‘trail’, that it shows the direction of travel of the (airplane/missile).
They believe the object in the picture is moving UPWARDS and to the RIGHT. (there is nothing in the pictures or video which can be used as a frame of reference, leaving the mind to ‘imagine’)
The object in the picture is (picture frame-wise) actually moving from the lower right to the upper left.
Still, given those facts, The MISSILE EXPERTS will never back down. They can’t. They would have to ADMIT THEY WERE WRONG, and hell will freeze over before that happens.
It’s all about EGO,PRIDE, and not being willing to admit to a MISTAKE (being fooled by CBS).
IRONIC that these MISSILE EXPERTS now believe that CBS is a BASTION OF TRUTH.
It was just another plane. SeeBS made the news. End of story....
