Although the U.S. Defense Department and North American Aerospace Defense Command have speculated publicly that the unidentified contrail of a projectile soaring into the skies off the California coast and recorded by a KCBS television crew came from a jet and posed no security threat to the U.S., several experts are raising provocative and disturbing questions about the government's official response, reports Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin.
Two governmental military experts with extensive experience working with missiles and computer security systems have examined the television video and conclude the mysterious contrail originating some 30 miles off the coast near Los Angeles did not come from a jet but rather, they say the exhaust and the billowing plume emanated from a single source nozzle of a missile, probably made in China.

One thing is for sure: if the gov't wanted to cover-up something, the relationship between the Obama Administration and the MSM couldn't make it easier. That's why I think we need to continue to bring these shadowy events into the light of day. Perhaps one day new facts will emerge.

If it was a non American launched missile, and we continue to pretend it didn’t happen, theey will do it again and with more lethality. If it was a contrail........Then it’ll stay quiet.
It won’t die!
Even Jane’s has said they messed up and it’s a plane. Stop the madness.
Wonder if it was North Korea? All there weapons are made from China, right?
There was this rumor earlier in the year:http://www.therightperspective.org/2010/05/02/did-north-korea-torpedo-oil-rig-in-us-gulf/
We had the North Korean attack of the South right after this mysterious contrail.
Obama continues to dumb America down. I can’t stand it and I agree with you 100%.

If the trail was a missile, it was headed for the US mainland. I wonder where it landed, and what the warhead is doing now?
Tick...tick...tick it’s out there somewhere, what is it doing?
If this was indeed a Chinese missile launch some 30 miles off the California coast, it would indicate the Chicoms don’t consider the 200-mile perimeter it claims for its coastal waters to apply to those of the United States.
We sat on a pier across from the cape opposite side of the Indian river.
As soon as I saw the footage of the contrail off the West coast, I had no doubt it was a missile.
Looked identical to the contrail from the Titan launch.
If it was a Chinese missile, we’d actually have to do something about it. People would demand real action. And we’d have to rethink our [disasterous] approach to nurturing the Chinese threat. Can’t have that.
There were a lot of Freepers who were so SURE it was a contrail, berating anyone who thought otherwise.
A Titan III or IV has two strap on solid fuelled boosters in addition to it’s two main liquid fuelled engined. How do you propose something that big got on a sub?
There ‘were’? Still are. Basically anyone with sense.
Well, just for the record, here’s what Janes said the day after the event:
“Doug Richardson, the editor of Janes Missiles and Rockets, examined the video for the Times of London and said he was left with little doubt.
“Its a solid propellant missile,” he told the Times. “You can tell from the efflux [smoke].”
Richardson said it could have been a ballistic missile launched from a submarine or an interceptor, the defensive anti-missile weapon used by Navy surface ships.
Respectfully, if you have a more recent statement from Mr. Richardson, please share it with all of us, and help us understand why he changed his opinion. I couldn’t find anything in a quick Google search.
Moreover, the allegation and fear here is that there is a cover-up going on.
No madness here, just unexplained facts and speculation.
Yes I know.
But this subject has been discussed so many times that now it’s just like someone is hoping to get into an argument.
It’s going to be a no-win situation.
Chinese ballistic missile submarine Type-095 was scheduled to be deployed in 2010. It carries 12 JL-2 missiles with an 8000km range. 3-4 MRVS each. The Type-095 is supposed to be very, very quiet. And since we don’t want to disturb the whales. Maybe the ears were off.
Magic.
Why are you trying to harsh these people's mellow? (spoken in my best hippie/surfer dude accent).
Not *were* — they still do, and they’ll be joining this thread as soon as they see it so they can once again heckle those who believe it was a missile.
