FOX has been disgusting in their reporting about this.
As soon as they found out a queer released the classified documents they stopped covering that angle and now they are pushing this crap while ignoring that most combat troops do not want it.

As a combat vet the survey is pure bogus and no republican had better vote for this.

As someone who is in right now I can honestly say it’s about half and half. A lot of young people right now, even if they disagree with homoesxuality don’t really seem to care if they are serving with them or not.

I agree that the survey is "bogus." A survey which gives the same weight to a response by a Spec. 4 personnel clerk stationed at the Pentagon and an infantry company First Sergeant in Afghanistan is on its face ludicrous when the subject is military efficiency. Military efficiency has a lot more to do with combat effectiveness than such things as the submission of morning reports without strike overs and erasures.

Most opinion surveys are structured to get the desired answers. Having reviewed the 267 page DOD report insofar as it pertains to the surveys, that is a possibility. Very few questions were asked separately of those in combat units and those respondents saw the impact on unit effectiveness as overwhelmingly toward the negative/very negative side.

This suggests to me the probably remote possibility that the survey was intended as something of a Trojan horse; it will certainly give those in the Senate who oppose repeal of DADT lots of useful ammunition. So will the muted opposition of the heads of the various military services.

The chiefs of the Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps and Army disagree with the report's conclusion that the impact on combat readiness would be "low."

Regardless or perhaps due to all of the above, it seems highly unlikely that the Senate will vote on DADT repeal this session.

Send the real army to kill people and break things and the open homosexuals to solve difficult interior decoration problems.

As a military widow, mother and grandmother, the concensus for the last 40+ years has been “NO WAY!!” Personnel and dependents do NOT want gays in the military.

~ 40% of female soldiers are lesbos

Therefore the purpose of overturning Don't Ask, Don't Tell
is to fully incorporate lesboism into open military life!

What’s interesting about this is the marines and army infantry were against repeal- while the rest of the military seem sorta ok with it.

My experience has been primarily with infantry guys- and while some of them are sympathetic to the equal rights debate- they know what it takes in combat to have unit cohesion and are not in favor of repeal AT THIS TIME. They ALL say- maybe later when we’re not at war- we’ve got enough to do staying focused on the mission.

I know...my husband received it and opted to not return it because of that consideration. Again, he doesn’t care who or what you screw, but he feels sexuality has no place in the discussion.

I think it's time - even for the Military themselves - to start protesting Mr GAYs (ooops GAtes that is...) attempt to destroy the Military just so he can comply with "Hussein The HOMO-1 cheerleader"

Write your official and LET THEM KNOW we don't want this.

A HOMO can be soldier as long as I don't have to know about it!
