I don’t believe in atheism.

Well, of course they thinks it’s a myth.

The only thing they have faith in is death. Their end of the road.

If religion is a myth...let’s all draw cartoons of Mohammed and put them on billboards!

Of course it’s a “myth” to them. That’s why they are atheist.

Personally, I have no problem with non-Christians not celebrating Christmas. Perhaps next April 1st, some Christian groups can put up some billboards against atheism.

It’s part of the Christmas season, like the mall Santa and the festive lights. The atheists and ACLU try to attack Christmas and shut down Nativity scenes. If only they were as worried about unchecked muslim immigration.

Atheists walk in darkness, their eyes covered in scales, in complete rebellion to their Creator.

Put THAT on a billboard!

If you believe in God, you probably have it made. If it proves you were wrong, no loss. If you don’t believe in God and it is proven that you were wrong.........I wouldn’t want to be you.

Myths are not necessarily untrue. Mythology grows around actual historical happenings.

Just think about the mythology surrounding Babe Ruth. Does that mythology mean that Babe Ruth didn’t exist? Of course not.

Plus, the strong graphic character of their billboard overrides their verbal message. It just reminds people of the holy birth of the Christ child.

We win. They lose.

Myths are not “falsehoods”. . .Myths are significant in the history of virtually every culture. Myths convey truths.

A spokesman says the Catholic church's Newark Archdiocese declined an offer to buy a rival billboard. It says it has better ways to spend its money.

I should hope so. God bless them.

December is the worst month to ask me to be a miserable son-of-a-bitch atheist or support a miserable son-of-a-bitch atheist organization.

Why are Christians always the bad guys? If this guy did this about Mohammed, he would already be a dead man.

I think it is disgusting when people mock the Christian faith. But God does not need me to kill or beat those people. He can take care of himself. Sometimes He chooses to save those people.

Something tells me that group is not familiar with Pope John Paul II’s encyclical Fides et Ratio.

designed to encourage existing atheists who are going through the motions of celebrating Christmas to stop

No problem there. Why waste a card and possibly a gift on those who don't believe in the meaning, anyway?

Purely from an intellectual standpoint, is it fair to call the nativity a "myth". I don't think so. Perhaps - again, intellectually - one could argue that the divinity itself is a "myth", but it seems reasonably certain that a man named Jesus was born somewhere around Bethlehem, in a manner that probably wasn't too far removed from the way it's described in tradition.

Jesus is (at a minimum) quite simply a historical figure - unlike Paul Bunyon or Rip Van Winkle - Jesus lived and there is a historical record, of his birth, his life and his death, hardly the qualities of a "myth".

If atheists are so reason-based, let them consult the nearest atlas of human anatomy, and then proclaim there is no God.

EyeGuy says start with the awesome marvel of miraculously complex design and engineering known as the human eye. A “reasonable” person won’t need to go any further......

Interesting they (the atheists) KNOW it's a myth.

One has to wonder how they know.

BTW, anyone have a count on how many hospitials or missions have been opened by atheists?

Just asking.
