After talking with President Obama for two hours, Republicans said Tuesday that they were pleased and remained committed to finding common ground.
The president did make the important point that he hasnt spent much time with us reaching out and talking to us, and committed to do so, incoming House Speaker John Boehner, who said the meeting was very nice, told reporters.
I think spending more time will help us ... find common ground, Boehner said.

Tell it, preacher!
We will scorch the RINO’s in 2012. Starting with the traitors who voted to have government tell us what to eat and how we can grow it.

The proper response for a Republican to say to a Democrat when they want to find common ground comes from Slingblade:
Fact’o business, don't you say another word to me. I ain't listening to you no more.

I can only hope this slobbering is just PR ... showing that the Republicans are not the party of no - for public consumption...
But - I expect this whole thing to turn into a dog fight within a few days.

No, no, no....this is the problem...the public needs to be told the truth, they need to be taught about America, liberties, the Constitution. That all these entitlements are killing us, that Socialism does not work in the end.
Why tell them a lie for public consumption?

Common Ground is fine. Obama needs to agree to “conservative” common ground. But NOT ONE DAMNED INCH to the LEFT! We already “gave”.

Freezing federal pay is a start, but I’d be more happy with cutting federal pay to the average american worker’s salary. How can a public servant make more than the people they supposedly serve?

I know the moderator pulled my comment.
I’m disgusted. Are we really going to snuggle up to them?

Hannity has disputed the Cantor story. Seems “The Hill” newspaper goofed royally on what Cantor said, what he wants, and what is going to be done, which is REPEAL Obama Care.
The Hill retracted the Cantor story right after the lines lit up.
I should have waited to squeel against him before he remarked himself.

I don’t have a good feeling about this. But yeah, hopefully it’s just a matter of being polite. But I think we’re beyond playing nice nice at this point.
To: RitaOK
Rush talked about this on his show. I guess he got his info wrong too.
To: LoneStarGI
I’m with you. No smiles! Just get the job done.
