Honolulu police shut down the Ala Kapuna off-ramp along Moanalua Freeway Honolulu-bound for about two hours this afternoon to investigate a suspicious vehicle that may contain explosives, police dispatch reported.

Yeah, we’ve been here more or less (less 2 years at Ft. Hood) since 1994 so we’ve been through the “Red” Star Advertiser’s death and reincarnation. I wonder which other bases/posts they tried - one report says “leeward” which would mean Hickam, Pearl, Camp Smith, Schofield, Wheeler, and the naval depot up near Waianae. The other report said “the other side of the island” which would be Kaneohe.
