Sarah Palin never claimed she could see Russia from her house – that was Tina Fey – but she went one better on Glenn Beck's radio show in discussing the tensions in the Korean Peninsula and saying: "We've got to stand with our North Korean allies".
A transcript of the radio show reads:
Interviewer: How would you handle a situation like the one that just developed in North Korea?
Palin: Well, North Korea, this is stemming from a greater problem, when we're all sitting around asking, 'Oh no, what are we going to do,' and we're not having a lot of faith that the White House is going to come out with a strong enough policy to sanction what it is that North Korea is going to do. So this speaks to a bigger picture that certainly scares me in terms of our national security policy. But obviously, we've got to stand with our North Korean allies – we're bound to by treaty....
Interviewer: South Korean.
Palin: Yes, and we're also bound by prudence to stand with our South Korean allies, yes.

I’ve debated politics since the same age, and I have NEVER had a problem understanding the key good guys and bad guys (like Cuba, NK, Soviet Union). I’m sorry, but I have little tolerance for that...again, it’s not a debate contest, this is serious stuff and I’d rather have someone who’s been following this for decades, rather than a few years (which does seem to be the case here).

Making a mistake is not ignorant. I have broadcast high school football, no matter how many names I memorize names and various information, on a live broadcast..a slip of the tongue here and there is almost unavoidable.

Onyx, I don’t think all responses are opposing Sarah.....she is treated differently than all others, unfortunately, and the media and politicl candidates have succeeded in projecting her as a “dummy” which was their intention...now they will be watching so that when she slips up they can hammer the nail in. She does have to be careful Onyx...No other politician has the attention she has and with that comes a certain degree of caution about what one says......Obama mentioned being a Moslem and now everyone thinks he is. Sarah misspeaks on foreigh issues (her biggest weakness)..and they will be all over her.
There wasn’t any “confusion.” It’s a slip of the tongue and doesn’t even reflect any kind of cortical process. Duh.
She cleaned it up nicely though and thankfully most of the leftists (in the media, all over the www, and even here at Conservative Free Republic) bought it hook line and sinker!
Governor Palin, keep up the good work pulling fast ones on the worshipers of the Cult of Palin-bashing!
At least she knows that there is a North and a South Korea. That’s more then some in Congress know. Don’t have a link or name, but it was a dummycrat showing his stupidity in the last few days.
This is just a red meat story for the RINO’s and the dummy’s.
