IIRC, joint naval operations were already scheduled. Don’t know if the DPRK’s latest stupidity changes naval plans any.

Obama’s delayed response to this incident of “outrage” is uncharacteristic and somewhat puzzling. The delay suggests that someone is giving him advice and he is taking it. He may be coming to realize that bowing and apologizing is not going solve the world’s problems. His foreign policy failures have been at least as spectacular as his domestic failures, if not more so.

Lot's of utterly unconvincing saber rattling that's rivaled only the by worthless talk. Nothing of substance will be done and North Korea knows it. The window dressing isn't for China or Kim Il Jong, it's for the American and Korean public.
The only question is what will North Korea do in a few months to top sinking a warship and an artillery barrage.
