Watching the raft of newly elected GOP lawmakers converge on Washington, I couldn't help thinking about an issue I hope our party will better address. I call on my fellow Republicans to open their minds to rethinking what has largely become our party's line: denying that climate change and global warming are occurring and that they are largely due to human activities.
National Journal reported last month that 19 of the 20 serious GOP Senate challengers declared that the science of climate change is either inconclusive or flat-out wrong.

Oxymoron alert.
“Global warming” is just the current liberal fraud to take the people’s money.
From: Thomas Jefferson - Notes on Virginia Query 17
“It is error alone which needs the support of government. Truth can stand by itself. Subject opinion to coercion: whom will you make your inquisitors? Fallible men; men governed by bad passions, by private as well as public reasons. And why subject it to coercion? To produce uniformity. But is uniformity of opinion desireable? No more than of face and stature. Introduce the bed of Procrustes then, and as there is danger that the large men may beat the small, make us all of a size, by lopping the former and stretching the latter.”
SCIENTISTS at the University of East Anglia (UEA) have admitted throwing away much of the raw temperature data on which their predictions of global warming are based.
It means that other academics are not able to check basic calculations said to show a long-term rise in temperature over the past 150 years.

Sherwood was about as much a Republican as Specter was. I forget if he got beaten in a primary or retired. Either way he is the kind of Republican the media loves. A “moderate” who is really a warmed over Democrat.
Ya...ok. Whatever.
There are socialists that are republicans but there are no Conservatives that are socialists... that is the difference between us and them. I may vote republican... but I am certainly not representative of what the “leadership” projects as “their” image. Only now do some of them “get it”... and they were dragged into reality in an unwilling manner.

Sierra club loved him in the late 90’s:
“Boehlert’s finest hour came in the battle over 17 amendments, or “riders,” that Majority Whip Tom DeLay (R-Texas) had tacked on to the EPA’s budget, which would have crippled the agency’s ability to enforce environmental laws. In a turning point for the 104th Congress, Boehlert convinced 63 of his GOP colleagues to abandon their party and join House Democrats in voting to ax the riders. “More and more,” Boehlert told the electronic news service Greenwire, “my colleagues who did not support us on clean water or the EPA riders are catching hell back home.” Even DeLay was forced to concede defeat. “We have lost the debate on the environment,” he said. “I can count votes.”
So can Newt: he acknowledged the rising clout of the Republican moderates by appointing Boehlert co- chair of a GOP task force whose aim is to come up with a unified Republican environmental policya chore made more difficult by the fact that its other co-chair is DeLay, the man who thinks that DDT is “not harmful,” that the decision to ban CFCs to reduce ozone depletion “is the result of a media scare,” and who is unable to name a single government regulation he favors.”
Note ‘Newt propped him up’ and ‘he took 63 Republicans with him....’ Reminds me of John Kasich taking 42 Republicans with him to pass the Assault weapons ban. Sigh...
And DDT is tasty and should be reintroduced into every country that has a malaria and dengue fever problem.
Geez, we got 6’ of snow here in tropical Seattle, and it is still coming! I’m pumping out CO 2 too, and still getting colder.

Same fools different decade.
Is this asshat related to Eric Boehlert of Media Splatters fame?

The Rats already do have him. He is a Rat sleeper infiltrator.
Lemme guess... he’s a RINO.
The nerds in my school used to beat up kids named Sherwood.
The earth is warming (slightly)
Humans are (somewhat) responsible
The sun plays an integral role in all climate change
The idea that civilization is on the brink of destruction is so-far unsupported.
These are my expert opinions
Just ignore the Climategate scandal and turn your life over to the world gummit. If the Chicago exchange closed its over Shrewood.
Pray for America
