Agree. Appears he would have qualified for one of those Czar positions with Obama. Bad health probably detered his appointment.
I believe he was one of those who praised Japanese economy in the 1980s and led (some) people to believe that the era of the Americans had died, and the era of the Asians (especially the Japanese) had come. Remember the ‘Asian values’? This, of course, before Japan entered a decade of economic recession.
