Sarah Palin's Alaska takes viewers into the country's 'final frontier' through the eyes of one of its most famous citizens - Sarah Palin. Sarah is joined by various family members as she shares the state she knows and loves. Along with Alaska's great wilderness, the Palins' encounter Alaska's fascinating residents and share what its takes to thrive in the country's largest state.
While we wait for the show to start tonight, Sarah Palin has posted a video from the series at PalinTVunfiltered she calls "Mother and Daughter Bonding"

Thanks. I thought of it the minute you posted. My brain is like a computer .. it’s always saying ‘please wait.’
I think this episode was better than last week.
Actually it was William Safire written for a speech given by Agnew.
Have trouble thinking of this as a “reality show”, but maybe that’s just me...
I agree with that.
You might wanna check out who you are replying to....
I didn't post that.
I reply'd to that!
It wasn’t what you were expecting...I can understand that. It isn’t a travelogue but it is an entertaining way to present Alaska. And it’s educational, for instance this evening I learned Alaska supplies 60% of the seafood to the lower 48. And I saw how terribly hard the fishermen work. It gave me a new appreciation for the hard life chosen by some very hardy people. I also enjoyed the skeet shooting scene and the kayak race. These are things I’ve never done, but I’ve been curious about how it was done and if I might someday do it. It also showcased some beautiful scenery. Overall I didn’t feel the need to check other channels to see if something better was showing.
What makes this a "reality show" and not a documentary?
Is someone getting voted off?
Was there a tribal council that I missed?
You might like this episode better than last week. I found last week to be a bit boring.
I hope the ratings stay up. I’m guessing there was a big curiosity factor the first week, but the fact is, it’s a good show.
And to the person who didn’t think this was presidential because the family is featured, I must say it wouldn’t be nearly so interesting if presented as a dry documentary.
You’re most welcome. It’s so much fun to watch with FRiends and Sarah supporters. She’s just like us! Amazingly down to earth.
Turns out this is last week’s show - I guess the new one still comes on at 9.
I loved this episode. Last week’s was great, but this one was even better. The hour passed by too quickly. I just love this family!!!
“This show is an amazing study in contrast that will not be ignored by the greater populace.”
You got it absolutely. Can you picture the people in Manhattan or Washington, DC getting this show! What do you mean they club my fillet! Shock and remorse for eating, and activism to stop this abuse!
Other parts of this country will get it, applaud the show and understand.
Interesting to be watched!
True. The halibut has rights :-|
Yeah, but the one speaking the words always gets the credit. I guess my impressions of ole Spiro’s skill with words might be a bit off base. ;) Of course, so many were fooled by O because of his skill in reading words off of a pair of dummy sticks.
pattyjo
I had deep fried halibut up there; the batter was so crisp it was like a puffy crust a few thou thick only, it was the best I’ve ever had, the frying did not hurt it at all. I wish other places knew how to do it like that (or felt the need to learn).
See you tomorrow night!
Long ping list with new additions!
800-868-3407......LOL.
Oh, yeah. I’m mad now. I’m gonna be voting in many and various ways.
I agree. But note the media double standard:
George H.W. Bush was so "out of touch" that (the media claimed) he was baffled by a supermarket scanner. Obviously (they said) a rich guy who never had to deal with the real world was basically unfit to be president.
Sarah Palin (they now say) is so common -- why, she didn't even go to an Ivy League School! -- can you imagine someone who knows how to work in a fish processing plant actually serving as president?! How uncouth! We deserve better than that!
They never question anything about Obama, but any Republican is either too hoity-toity, or else too common. Any way you look at it, Republicans are unfit.
My own view is that this will backfire on the media and that people will see how real Palin is and decide that the country needs exactly that right now.
