Obama's TSA: Decliners Fined $11,000

News reports on Saturday reporting that the TSA was announcing warnings to would-be travelers that any "would-be commercial airline passenger who enters an airport checkpoint but refuses to undergo the method of inspection as prescribed by the TSA workers on duty would not be allowed to fly, (but far more importantly)--would not be permitted to leave the airport."

But that wasn't all. The TSA also included in it's announcement for the first time the new fine of $11,000 and possible arrest for anyone who refused.

TSA worker Sari Koshetz was quoted in one report, "Once a person submits to the screening process, they can not just decide to leave that process."

If it’s a civil penalty, what jury would it ever depend upon?

Well @hole, a LEO or IRS agent or someone that has something to do with your paycheck, bank or benefits that you grope might just make your life a living hell. Ever think about that? Things can can very confusing sometimes.

Remember during the Bush era, the way that the Liberals kept on whining about civil rights being violated (illegal wire taps, illegal detention...), as well as all the Hollywood movies that were made about the subject? It was all about the SUSPECTED TERRORISTS’ rights being violated, wherever they received those rights (we’re talking about non-US citizens here) from.

I don’t hear anything from those bastards like the ACLU and Hollywood, when it’s law abiding US Citizens’ rights that are being violated (and we’re not talking about just a few of us, we’re talking about ALL air travelers). Isn’t it interesting?

It’s the same way the libs try to defend convicted murderers, but they attack law abiding citizens if they keep a gun!

No damned bureaucrat has constitutional power to write rules with the force of law, enforce the rules and punish under those rules. That is tyranny.

The EPA has been doing that to businesses for DECADES.

An illegal alien has more right in the US than a US citizen anymore. What has happened to this country in such a short time?

So now the government can hold anyone it wants for as long as it wants and not have to have a reason. Would it be possible to sue for false imprisonment and win?

Does the TSA have such authority? Congress?

That's what I want to know. Where in the US Code does it say that I will be fined for refusing to submit to a search policy they only began to implement two weeks ago.

These would be great little TSA/Nazi mini stickers to er uh magically start appearing sticking all around the area of these TSA patdowns from coast to coast. On chairs, tables, belt conveyers, plastic tubs, the floor, machines, and how they got there would be the biggest mystery.

Talk about peaceful, grassroots resistence and guerilla theater.

EPA...I believe it was brought to us by Nixon.

In Terry v. Ohio (not me, by the way) the court ruled that a cop can conduct a limited search without a warrant only if you display “unusual conduct”. Is standing in a line waiting to board a plane “unusual conduct”?

I can easily see where deciding to neither under go the electronic or manual screen process and leaving the screen area can create serious security problems.

If you elect not to be screened and want to leave the terminal your departure must be delayed until you are reunited with your checked baggage. Otherwise you have a situation where unlinked baggage is “traveling” without its human owner - an ideal way to create a serious problem.

Hold you in the screening area until you are reunited with your baggage and then the two of you leave - YES!

Allowing you to leave with out your checked baggage with or without a fine - NO.

Besides, since when has fines of any size prevented a crime?

"they can not just decide to leave that process"

Oh yeah? Well I say you CAN.

Show me in the US Constitution, Spokesnazi, where it says I dont have the right to walk away midstream from something intrusive and have freedom of movement? What if somebody has diarreah or a medical emergency. These people are SO opening themselves up to individualand class action lawsuits.

This upsets me more than I can express. I might not be able to come home for Christmas. I refuse to go through the full body scanner. Cancer runs in my family. I will not take that risk. I was ready to endure the obscene patdown in order to see my family, but now it seems I have no choice in the matter if they tell me I have to go through the scanner. This is just unbelievable.

Ping for later. Might be a good time to buy stock in Greyhound.

"Al Queda won.

Face it".<<<<

The liberal traitors (and the ignorant moderates and libertarians that help elect them and put them in power) use PC and BS to let the terrorists win (so far).. Our domestic enemies are a far greater threat than foreign terrorist enemies ever will be.

Just another useless big government taxpayer funded bureaucracy that the liberal union thugs can corrupt, feed off of and fark up..
