Its now almost three weeks since election day. Thanksgiving is right around the corner. All of the ballots in the NY25 congressional race have been counted and Ann Marie Buerkle has won the election.
Republican Ann Marie Buerkle leads in the 25th District by about 567 votes. The tally among Wayne County absentee ballots was 790 for Buerkle, 521 for Maffei.
Maffei has so far not conceded the race. More than 160 ballots were challenged by either campaign for a judge to examine, but that doesnt appear to be enough for Maffei to bridge the gap, even if they all were opened and were ballots cast for him.
Its time for Dan Maffei to concede already. Its over. Ann Marie Buerkle will be the next representative from NY25. Theres nothing left for him to cling to.
Republican Ann Marie Buerkle!
WOO-HOO!
Excellent!
Ann Marie will be a great congressman. From her website:

Great news for the good guys! Is this the one where they “found” uncounted voting machines in a trunk?
Good for you guys in Dist 25. Up here in the North Country Dist 23, the fatuous fools that run the Republican Committees stepped over shoo-in Hoffman for unknown Doheney, so we’re stuck with (D) Owens for another two y ears. sd
Waiting for the old ...”oh wait ... they just found another bag of votes ... pending”
Wrong. Doheny won the GOP primary, fair and square. Even the Tea Party endorsed Doheny. Hoffman is responsible for this loss.
I hope we never hear from Doug Hoffman again.
Whoopee!
Of course not. Never forget the Democrat motto: If at first you don't succeed, recount the ballots until you do.
It’s a very simple explanation why the rat wasn’t able to steal this one... it was a rookie rat that parked the car with all the extra ballots in the trunk and then forgot where it was parked.
Yippee!!
See this?
I figured she was going to win but not that it would be so close.
Judging by the signs I saw for her all over Syracuse, DeWitt, Fayetteville, etc, I thought she’d have more of a lead than that.
I wonder where all the votes came from for him. I know only one person for sure who supported him.
Union, I bet.
I dunno. Is there that much union in CNY?
Yeah, it’s great!
