Secretary of State Hillary Clinton made the Sunday talk show rounds this morning, appearing on Fox News Sunday, CBSs Face the Nation, and NBCs Meet the Press. The topic of conversation: TSAs new security measures and national security.
On Face the Nation, host Bob Schieffer asked Secretary Clinton whether she would submit to one of TSAs controversial new patdowns.
Not if I could avoid it. No. I mean who would? she responded.
However, she did note that while she feels the new patdowns should be made less intrusive, they are still a necessary security measure. On Meet the Press, she told David Gregory I mean obviously the vast, vast majority of people getting on these planes are law abiding citizens who are just trying to get from one place to another. But lets not kid ourselves. The terrorists are adaptable.
Striking the right balance is what this is about. And I am absolutely confident that our security experts are gonna keep trying to get it better and less intrusive and more precise Everybody is trying to do the right thing and I understand how difficult it is, and how offensive it must be for the people who are going through it, she said.

nope, she said she was not running for president, she said so on Fox with Chris Wallace
You are more likely correct than I in her case.

RE: “Look for more of this pseudo- populist sentiment from Hillary as she positions herself for 2012. She knows that as of 2010 the usual liberal/ leftist hogwash has expired, so she will be moving toward a false-front center/right.”

Hey, if hubby could reposition himself closer to center for re-election, she can do it to oppose Zero now. She says she’s not running but certainly she’d do it for the ‘good of the party.’ She may even start speaking fondly of her early days — as a Goldwater Girl in the ‘64 campaign, you know, before she became a Marxist.
Interesting that all the ‘talk shows’ are courting her now, isn’t it?
Yep she is going to run for president
It reminded me of the saying, "Never believe anything until it has been officially denied."
When he ran for re-election as governor of Arkansas in 1990, Bill Clinton promised he wouldn't run for President during his term.
Hillary stirs....
we purchased our tickets long before this became common knowledge, I am real upset. I did not give consent for this kind of treatment and I am quite put off by it.
You know she asked Bill how to answer this question before she said anything.

I am a rape survivor.
While the TSA scan I endured last week (PHL to CHI) didn't involve forcible penetration, it DID involve a stranger putting hands -- forcefully -- on areas of my body that I consider private. Unannounced, unwanted and aggressively.
I damn near had a panic attack, and the more agitated and upset I got, the more stern and rough the scanner got. It did not matter that it was a female TSA agent performing the pat-down; all of the emotional trauma of having my body appropriated by someone else came flooding back.
I will never fly again, and I would not subject my daughters to what I consider to be a form of sexual harassment bordering on assault.

But in the ‘text’ of the article she is quoted
“Not if I could avoid it. No. I mean, who would?” she responded.
So, isn’t she saying she would rather not, but admitting that if necessary she would?
Of course it is a typical double standard type answer from a seasoned pol. Answer the question yes and no, then you can cite to an answer according to who you are talking to.
She told Bill the same thing about groping her, and we all know where that led.
Exactly! Now what happens when a nervous bomber looks around while waiting to go through security and realizes that he has the equivalent of a plane load of passengers standing around him in the "Disneyland style" zig-zag line?
Do we go to "pre-security screening" screening?
Then to pre-pre-screening?
Stop them at the front door to the terminal?
How about stopping them from entering the country? How about stopping them at the mosque?
I assume Hillary is afraid of what they might find
Hillary has extra gear on board.
