Sarah Palin may not have the biggest fan in former first lady Barbara Bush.
"I sat next to her once. Thought she was beautiful," Barbara Bush said. "And she's very happy in Alaska, and I hope she'll stay there."
Bush, along with her husband, former President George H.W. Bush, spoke to CNN's Larry King in an interview set to air Monday.

This is not a mean family.
Barabara is blunt...we all know that...and frankly, she is entitled to her opinion.
And if I remember correctly, Palin has been criticized royally for leaving her office....and her obligation...to just do a road show.
Let's give Barbara some slack.
Sigh.
amen...what u said.
Why? Because it isn't about Sarah Palin?
BTW, I'm on Sarah's side.
Yes, and so dismissively.
I’m not giving thatfamily any slack for giving us Clinton and Obama.
No thanks.
Must of been where her mom’s doctor was.
Most people that I know of in the Rye area were born at, what at least was, United Hospital in next door Port Chester.
Still, in the 20s many women were still having babies at home.
Jeb Bush was walking around a lake one day. Some young children were playing near the shoreline. Jeb noted that there was a sign that the children had not seen. The sign says "Swimming in Lake is Illegal! - No Swimming!"
The children had travelled to far from the shore and had stepped off in to a deep area. Suddenly, they were in over their heads and screaming for help. The only adult nearby was Jeb Bush. Other adults were running around the lake to help the children but before they got to the side of the lake Jeb Bush was at the children had gone under. They had drowned.
One of the adults that had run around the lake looked at Jeb Bush and said "why didn't you save them? You were only a few yards away from them". In reply Jeb Bush points to the sign about swimming in the lake and says "Swimming is Illegal!" Then Bush walks away. People can see the childrens bodies floating dead in the lake.
RIP Terri Schiavo - We won't forget.....
You and everybody else.
Can you image her reaction if anybody told pre-POTUS george 1 or 2 to just stay in Texas? I don't think she, blunt as she is, would have given anybody any slack whatsoever.
None given then, none given now. Blunt on both sides.
“Stay out ‘da Bushes”
I could care less what spin W gives for his failures and malfeasance in office.
Amen...the hatred on this thread is disgusting just because someone dared to disagree and voice an opinion. Aren’t we supposed to be the more tolerant side?
The hatred for this awful family is based on the fact that they only seem to relish in attacking conservatives, undermining the GOP, helping every single enemy of the constitutional movement, and proping up Obama, clinton, etc.
I guess in the Bush colored glasses, many don’t see how this family acts.
Screw these people. They are no different than the clintons, obama’s, etc.
Funny I thought McCain-Palin ran against Obama, not Bush. Bush was term-limited out, and the voters—thanks to allowing independents in primaries—chose to have John McCain as
the nominee. (Perhaps we can change the “allow independents”
rule in; in states like Mass. “unenrolleds” may choose either Dem. or Rep. ballots. Don’t know if that applies to
every state, but McCain won more delegates this way.)
I also seem to remember it was Mr. McCain who chose Mrs.
Palin as a running mate. It could have been McCain-Romney
or McCain-Huckabee or something. Say what you will about
McCain but would there be all this buzz about her if she
were still governor of Alaska right now and not
a vice presidential nominee?
Nowadays, the distance between Rye and Flushing Queens isn't too bad. But she was born before the Throgs Neck, Whitestone and Triboro bridges were built.
It would seem like quit a trek.
I didn’t see anybody calling for Mrs. Bush’s arrest or death, so yes I’d say we are more tolerant than the other side. What I’m not tolerant of is Mrs. Bush, and her snotty attitude, that Gov. Palin should stay in Alaska. I would say that Gov. Palin has more on her resume that Mrs. Bush does.
Shades of the interview Connie Chung once did with (to) Newt Gingrich’s mom.
Not exactly a surprise to either of us, or to many here. Some still don't get it, though.
As more and more conservatives wake up to what's taking place I hope we can get this internal party fight over with and proceed to the real task of getting rid of the rampant corruption and statism in Washington.
Ahhh, another RINO Romney-bot.
False ethic complaints had cost her personally in legal bills > $500,000.
Annual income ~ $100,000
Do the math.
The obama machine was planning to continue to file false ethic charges and increase Sarahs legal expenses.
The obama machine was using Alinsky tactics to eventually bankrupt and destroy Sarah and her family.
By stepping down, it eliminated obamas only weapon against Sarah and freed her to step out and speak-out on issues as she has most effectively done.
Sarahs stepping down was a brilliant political and economic move - she simply reloaded to have the abiity to begin firing at her enemies from a free position.
Sheeesh, get with the program and stop listening to the marxist media. Good grief, man!
