Numbers From Alaska: Miller & Murkowski (Write-In)

254,177 US Representative
256,041 Governor/Lt. Governor
255,831 US Senator

1,654 more votes were cast for US Senator race than US Representative
240 fewer votes werevcast for US Senator race than for Governor/Lt. Governor

90,740 Joe Miller's total votes
92,715 Lisa Murkowski's total write-in uncontested votes (another 8,153 were contested)

1,975 more uncontested votes were cast for Murkowski than for Miller

For all 40 districts, the total number of write-in votes increased (see below) between election night and the current final count.

Thus a total of 1,315 write-in votes were found between election night and the current final count.

All of the write-in votes - and only the write in votes - have been hand counted at this time.

Questions:

Q1: Is it normal for the write-in count to increase in all of the 40 districts or, asked differently, would it have been more normal - expected - for the count to increase in some districts and decrease in others?

Q2: If the write-in votes increased by hand count, would a hand count also likely increase the vote total for Joe Miller as well?

If you are right then Murkowski pulled off an incredible win and Joe’s just wasting time and money.

Agree with you about #1, and it may be more than some 8000 contested votes, it may grow to hundreds more. Remember Joe Miller's statement he did not have fully prepared write-in vote monitors due to the early start on counting the write-in's.

About your #2, I don't know. However, all of the write-in's would get a new look if the court orders the DOE rules have to be followed as written. The number that end up thrown out then could be the same or more or less. Likely more will get thrown out in my opinion.

Joe Miller may require/ask to hav his ballots hand counted as well. That makes a certain amount of sense.

IOW - there has to be a combination of votes thrown out for Murkowski and votes found for Miller that equals more than the current difference in their uncontested vote totals. Approximately 2000.

I remain very curious about 1) stories of the same signature on write-in ballots, 2) write-in ballots presorted, and 3) write-in ballot counts increased across the board as the count continued. Add an easy check on the total votes for a district compared to the signed register.

Do not know how many of the additional 1,315 votes were for Murkowski. Do know between 90% to 95% of all write-in votes (contested and uncontested) were for Murkowski. So, somewhere between 1,184 and 1,250 would have been for Murkowski if the percentages held.

The numbers for Joe Miller are his raw numbers.

The 92,715 for Lisa Murkowski are the UNCONTESTED write-in votes with her name on them. There are another 8,153 write-in votes for her, but with errors and the state wants to give her those votes even though this is contrary to current state law.

The point of fighting on is to determine if, in fact, Miller lost at all. To find out, the Alaska DOE would have to decide (or have a court tell them) to follow Alaska's own rules for write-in votes.

After that a new hand count of all the Murkowski write-in votes would follow. No one knows what the final count would be at this stage.

Additionally, a hand count might be necessary for Miller's computerized votes. To understand why, visit here and read about "previously reported ... problems with the Tim Bishop race in Long Island where a hand recount produced a startlingly different total than the optical scan machines recorded."

It will be interesting to the finish.

I made a prediction that Joe Miller would win by less than 2000 votes.

And I believe that after a careful re-count and examination of the registers I may be wrong.

I think Joe will win with OVER a 2000 vote advantage.

I agree, that is what we are seeing. Deception knows no bounds. Joe, a man of character, is taking this on to expose corruption. I pray the path will be cleared because one corrupt judge of a higher authority could stop him in his tracks.

We need to $upport him and pray for him because his fight is our fight, also. It’s not about Alaska as much as it’s for our country. Evil/deception is rampant.

If (big IF) the Alaska DOE follows the law on what write-in ballots count and what write-in ballots do not count, the numbers could really move in Joe Miller's direction.

I don't know about the "old" stuff as I am only 62 and went skydiving (tandem) just over a month ago, but I don't know how to ping ... can you or someone out there help me with that?
