Sarah Palin says she is seriously considering a run for the White House, and she believes she could beat President Obama in 2012, the former Alaska governor told ABC News' Barbara Walters. "I'm looking at the lay of the land now, and ... trying to figure that out, if it's a good thing for the country, for the discourse, for my family, if it's a good thing," Palin said in an interview scheduled to air in full Dec. 9 on ABC as part of Walters' "10 Most Fascinating People" of 2010.

From Sarah’s lips to God’s ears.

I believe she can win, and I know she would fight all the way ... no holding back!

Now, that’s a shame, since the DEMS allow voting in general elections more than once.

Let her run and fall flat on her face then if she’s “unelectable.” My God people, what are you afraid of? If she’s truly that bad then why are her critics still attacking her? Wouldn’t it make more sense to encourage her on and then laugh when she fails?

Palin will not be able to win by hiding out on Facebook, Twitter, Fox News, or any of the friendlier talk shows.

She already gave an in-depth interview to the New York Times magazine, and just spoke to Barbara Walters. Jake Tapper is also someone she corresponds with.

She is already dipping her toe in enemy territory.

You just seem to be growing tired of having to associate with the conservatives here at FR.

I don't see why she wouldn't replicate W's electoral math in either of his elections.

Is there a reason Obama won't go back to the default mode of those? His magic is gone....long gone. Heck, she might even pick up a purple state from him.

It's a long way off, try on post #35 for size and we'll all see how this shakes out.

She may think so, but that’s why we have a primary campaign. To separate the “wheat from the chaff” so to speak.
Lets see how she stacks up against the other candidates as far as her policy approach and defense of conservative principles before we can agree with her.

The Democrats are praying that they get to run against her.

Yeah, they're really crafty, them Democrats. And so smart, too. Just look how bad they snookered us in the midterm elections.

Look I like her a ton. She is amazing person. However, I am still confident she can win. And this has nothing to do w her. Its the media, the fickle public, the mushy moderates, etc I worry about.

Maybe. She really needs to read a few Milton Friedman books before she starts campaigning though.
