Sarah Palin Says She Could Beat Obama
ABC News ^ | Nov. 17, 2010 | MARY BRUCE

Sarah Palin says she is seriously considering a run for the White House, and she believes she could beat President Obama in 2012, the former Alaska governor told ABC News' Barbara Walters. "I'm looking at the lay of the land now, and ... trying to figure that out, if it's a good thing for the country, for the discourse, for my family, if it's a good thing," Palin said in an interview scheduled to air in full Dec. 9 on ABC as part of Walters' "10 Most Fascinating People" of 2010.

"Millions and millions of democrat leaning immigrants have been naturalized. Just look at cali new york and many other states that dems have a lock on."

Which states are, despite that immigration, LOSING population, and hence electoral votes. As I see it, the existence of the "Tea Party" more than offsets the "immigration effect".

The problem with your Gallup poll is that it flys in the face of what I’m seeing with my own eyes. Gov. Palin, with no elected seat to use as a megaphone has attracted millions to her Twitter and FaceBook sites. Venues where she speaks are always filled—if not over subscribed. She’s selling books by the millions. Millions, again are tuning in to Sarah’s Alaskan adventure travelog. That is to say, people are paying real money to hear and read Sarah Palin. Moreover, milliions more people are rooting for Bristol on TV’s Dancing with the Stars.

If you’re gonna post this nonsense then at least try to put it in some context. Or was getting this poll up first simply a vanity post?

You better worry about Palin getting the nomination first. In fact all of us should worry. The way I see it if you have several quality candidates splitting the conservative vote in the primaries, and winner take all distribution of those delegates, Mitt Romney could pull 30 or 35% of RINO’s and walk to the nomination.
Yuck.

Any candidate we pick will be ravaged by the media. I this this whole idea of trying to appease the liberals and the media is going to destroy us. You people sound like cowards. It is like you are saying that we should throw Palin to the sharks and swim by hoping they don’t eat the rest of us.

Palin has courage to still be standing after all of the punches she has sustained.

The question is, do we have enough courage to stand by here ?

I have my doubts. The real suicide mission is playing the DNC and MSM’s game. To hell with that. lets make them play ours.

cowards

As if I’m going to be lectured from one of the premier Palin nut cases on FR. Go lay down on your bed and look at the photo of her you have over it and do whatever you do while you’re chanting her name.

turncoat RINO. Why don’t you go over to David Frum’s blog. If he has one, that is where you belong. I have no personal respect for any of you people. You are political Neville Chamberlains’. Lets just appease the Dems and the media and all be buddies right ?

Heres something else to think about. If you get your way, People like myself will go third party like in 1992. Thats not an idle threat.

So every one thinks Palin has too many negitives and cannot beat someone like Clinton. Who has more negitives than Hillary Clinton? Everyone knows she and her husband were and still are corrupt and the GOP ought to start dragging out all of her garbage soon and often. Clinton can be beaten and who else in the GOP has a chance of doing it?

Calm down - I have been posting on this site since the Clinton impeachment in 1998. I left after the 2008 election decided to come back yesterday signed up under a new name. What exactly did I say that was liberal? I said that I will absolutely under no circumstances support Romney, Huckabee, Pawlenty, Gingrich, etc as the nominee because I don’t think they will advance the cause of conservatism even if they are more “electable” than others. However, I think nominating Palin will also be a bad idea - I love what she brings to the cause but I just think her style is not suited for a presidential run and like it or not the reality is that you have to pick off independent voters and her negatives are through the roof with them.

Its just the reality of the situation and I’m sure that her people are making the same calculations right now. If she runs and it is just against the usual suspects with no other strong conservative in the field I will support her. If she wins the nomination I will 100% support her. But my hope is that I will be able to look at the field and find a better candidate than Palin. Whether that person even exists and decides to run is an open question.

Really this attitude around here about Palin is one of the reasons that I left before. I support Palin, I agree with her pretty much 100% on the issues, and I love the fact that she will say the things that other mainstream politicians are totally scared to. But I dare to say I might decide to support another conservative for the nomination and someone brands me a “liberal troll”. Those kind of kneejerk reactions have to stop.

When the primaries start are we really going to call people on here supporting Mike Pence or other strong conservatives “liberal trolls”? Give me a break. Palin did not invent conservatism and she is not the only conservative in America right now. There will be a choice in the primaries and just like I am not going to let the media tell me that it has to be someone like Romney I am also not going to let people like you bully me into supporting Palin if there are other good conservative choices. And don’t ever call me a liberal troll again.

And Clinton was never a Governor, was elected Senator and quit to be SoS which she has shown she can't do squat. Sarah's experience level compared to Zero's? C mon give me a break.

There is only one reason she can not win the liberal media and the stupid independents who change sides like they change their clothes. If you don't like the tea party and Palin you will love Clinton/Obama and the communists who have been supporting them for the last two years.

Pence is just about the only speculated candidate I would support over Palin right now. It will be interesting to see if he can put together a viable campaign coming from the House. Maybe Jindal if he ran. I think either one of those guys would campaign and govern as Reagan conservatives plus they would pound Obama in the general election. I also like Bob McDonnell but I think it is probably one cycle too early for him.

Bristol isn't running for anything and she is still better than rubber lips Chelsey Clinton. Maybe when H. Clinton runs for office all the kid cloves come off in regards to her daughter after all if the left attacks Palin's kids then Clinton family becomes fare game as well.
