Sarah Palin says she is seriously considering a run for the White House, and she believes she could beat President Obama in 2012, the former Alaska governor told ABC News' Barbara Walters. Hey, I’m a Palin backer and I think she could beat Hill or Barry. You’re right about blacks staying home, but otherwise Hill can wrap herself in the experience mantle, has the Ivy degree and upper-middle mannerisms and would likewise be the first female president. Probably most important of all, she’s not Barry and compared to Barry too many people consider her to be moderate. She could get away with positioning herself between Barry and Sarah politically. The lack of enthusiasm among blacks, however, could be a killer.

I would vote for Palin all the way, but, I do not think she can carry the vote to win. Not based on the stupid democrats, but on the good-ole boys of the Republican party. Too many of the good-ole boy repubs are afraid of her and imho would work against her as well. Not sure how that would play out, but a very real concern. Maybe in 2016. If the repubs take control in 2012, she should get a high-level post, which could set her up for 2016. It comes down to choosing a likely clear win with the men, or going for broke with Palin.

I want her to win. I’d vote for her in a second. When any issue comes up, she’s on the right side of how to respond while Obama is always on the wrong side. That’s what matters to me when casting my vote.
That said, I think overcoming the media annihilation she would receive would be impossible. It’d be 24/7 showing of her ridiculously edited interview with Katie Couric to Tina Fey’s impressions of her that are so close that people believe them to be true.
It’s too big a hill for anyone to climb. In the end, we need to beat Obama. I hope she can but I don’t think she can.

Why do you Palin supporters seem to believe that those of us who don’t support a Palin candidacy are opposed to her running? By all means, if Sarah Palin wants to run then more power to her!
Palin is well positioned to take the primary, that is why you see all these establishment types trying to stop her in the name of a Romney or some Romney like candidate.
