Breaking: Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski wins re-election to Senate as write-in candidate
(Excerpt) Read more at online.wsj.com ...
She'll be welcomed with open arms. Just watch.
“And all the many thousands of write-in votes that were allowed in violation of the law that stated the write-in candidate’s name must be correctly spelled to count.”
What is your source for claiming many thousands of voters misspelled her name?
I do not believe so. I see nothing where they were, as yet. They were to be counted today.
The election was rigged in Lisa’s favor, because too many people owe her favors.
Its always about favoritism in Alaska, I know it all too well trying to break through the favoritism in the job market up here.
Anybody moving here has to battle it for years, they won’t just let you succeed on your own anymore, you have to be “unionized”.
I know its hard to criticize my state, but thats the truth and it has awoken a sleeping giant within me.
Alaska has beauty across its broad expanse, buts its very rotten in its core. And I am taking it upon myself to tell as many as possible.
I believe it was said that the number of outstanding ballots to be counted is well below the margin that Murkowski currently has.
Dont sully yourself by turning into the next Al Gore with a quixotic search for voter intent.
.... yeeeeaaaahhhh, why would anyone expect state election laws to be followed anyway. You must agree with good Ol’ Joe Stalin that it’s who counts the votes that matter... unbelievable
ymmv
Don’t worry folks, this was only tea party round one, on round two, we wholesale clean house on the GOP and get our candidates in there, trust me, it’s coming ...
> The joke will be on them.
No, the joke is on *US*, because *WE* have to *PAY* for all that pork.
I have a feeling that something dreadful is going to happen to this woman. Its a feeling I can’t shake.
Now that Congress seems to move toward banning earmarks, I wonder how the Alaskans now feel about their “wise” choice?
Sarah Palin’s little plot in Alaska sure did backfire bigtime. It seemingly only isolated her as an extremist nationwide, and also may have pushed a consistent GOP vote (Murkowski) into the Dem caucus.
Palin’s political instincts were way off on this one. The smart money would have been to groom a candidate and then target Begich’s seat in 2014.

Oink, oink! She’s a hog pretending to be a RINO.
I pray to God that you’re right!
This is what happens to a lazy society.
<><><><><<>
Quite the contrary, it would seem. Lazy people don’t bother doing write-ins. They stay home or pull the lever for someone they can pull the lever for.
They went out of their way to elect her.
Just a thought.
Yes, I heard of some large four engine aircraft last night flying over, probably the group of C-130’s that do patrol everyday. Though it was later than usual.
What little plot?
I disagree. Miller won the Primary. He would have handily beaten the democrat. The only one to “blame”, if that’s the right term, is the GOP Alaska machine that supported the whining RINO’s write in campaign.
