New York Times article details Palin's political machine.

Sarah Palin has clarified for the first time in a newly published interview that she is seriously considering a presidential run.

"I am," Palin told New York Times writer Robert Draper when asked if she was weighing a run in 2012. "I'm engaged in the internal deliberations candidly, and having that discussion with my family, because my family is the most important consideration here."

In a personal profile to be published in the upcoming New York Times Magazine, Palin said her decision would involve "evaluating whether she could bring unique qualities to the table," admitting the biggest challenge would be proving her record.

You need to go to that link you posted and explain to them why ‘path to citizenship’ isn’t amnesty. Maybe they will believe you where I didn’t.

http://www.ethnicnewz.org/en/univision-sarah-palin-talks-about-immigration-first-time

The vice-presidential nominee said she did not support “amnesty” for undocumented immigrants already in the U.S. But she also said she doesn’t think all of them should be arrested and deported, according to a story on Univision’s website. “There is no way that in the U.S. we would round up every illegal immigrant — there are about twelve million illegal immigrants,” Palin said. “We – our policy – John McCain has been so clear with his policy and it makes a lot of sense too: we secure our borders first. “But then with a comprehensive approach we must deal humanely with those who are here, and we must allow the steps to be taken to protect the families of those who are here, maybe as illegal immigrants today.”

Palin also said she lamented the raids in search of undocumented workers that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has been conducting across the country. But, Univision noted, she would not say whether they should be stopped. Palin instead advocated examining the issue on a “case by case” basis. One immigration-related issue where Palin took a definite position was driver’s licenses, which she said should not be granted to undocumented residents. On the whole, Pilar Marrero wrote, …it’s not clear whether Palin favors immigration reform or how she would solve the issue of undocumented immigrants by tending to those who’re here legally first, since one thing is not related to the other. I assume she referred to those who are waiting to immigrate legally, but that wasn’t clear.

You’re really making no headway, pulling isolated quotes from an old univision interview done while she was McCain’s veep candidate. You really need to get out more, or join the Falcon Party......or something....... Read the letter (there’s a pointed sentence in there for you) and weep. Good night: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/2626565/posts

Another issue of vital importance is border security. Americans expect our leadership in Washington to act now to secure our borders. Don’t fall for the claims of those who suggest that we can’t secure our borders until we simultaneously deal with the illegal immigrants already here. Let’s deal with securing the border first. That alone is a huge challenge that has been ignored for far too long.

Vague. No mention of a fence, no mention of deportation.

Just like the 2 year old interview and the O’Riley interview, she is clear as mud on the issue.

Time will tell if she comes out and specifically says she is for path to citizenship. And she will. ;)

and they wouldn’t go after her and her family if she was president?

I can't believe you need this explained to you...

In the United States government, executive privilege is the power claimed by the President of the United States and other members of the executive branch to resist certain subpoenas and other interventions by the legislative and judicial branches of government. The concept of executive privilege is not mentioned explicitly in the United States Constitution, but the Supreme Court of the United States ruled it to be an element of the separation of powers doctrine, and/or derived from the supremacy of executive branch in its own area of Constitutional activity

I had no idea what you were talking about so I Googled it.

You are pathetic if you think that old smear will hold any sway in 2012.

Very weak, but this is good - if that’s all you got, get ready for President Palin.

Here. I found this...doesn’t sound like much to me...

So, who’s your candidate. The funny thing I’ve noticed is all these Palin bashers are shy about saying who they support. Interesting. Not.

GTFO

The only thing keeping Sarah Palin from being the next President is her deciding not to run.

That and her %55 disapproval rating.

Smear? So you think that Sarah Palin's ally sneared her?

The woman who re-examined things and then reversed them into Sarah Palin's favor was "smearing" her?

Check your meds.

In any case, let's take one of the issues. Do you think Gov. Palin lied, or did she put her minor child into what she thought was mortal danger? I'm curious which you believe, so I now which you think was acceptable.

Ok, so reading comprehension is a problems with you. Check the dates. It is during the 08 campaign.

She is in the role of VP for McCain. That is hardly her position statements.

“I’ve heard her say clearly it was the number one priority to seal the border and stop the illegals from coming in. She’s said in a number of times in a number of ways.”

Yep, numerous times. These PDS’rs are like talking to cement walls.

All of the negative hit jobs on her and she still almost beats Obama.

Reagan faced the same “polling problems” and it isn’t that big of a deal.

She will beat Obama easily.

Interview with Lars Larson on 12/3/09:

“LARS: The amnesty proposal that was defeated in Congress — in your view, was that amnesty for illegals and would you back amnesty for a path to citizenship, as the current president calls it?
SARAH PALIN: No, I’m not for amnesty. Let’s ratchet this down quite simply to remember what we’re referring to. Illegal aliens are called “illegal” for a reason. We need to secure our borders and I am not for amnesty. And there are humane ways to deal with the 11-13 million illegal aliens who are in our country right now, but if they’re not going to follow the rules, they need to get out.”

Thanks.

Hate her? Man up? How about you grow up and stop reacting like a petulant teeny-bopper...

Facts are facts. She quit. That doesn't mean much to a cadre of freepers but FR is not America, if it were obama would not be potus.

our next commie RINO/Dem message

I can tell I'm dealing with an intellect.

All your statistics are generic. Yes, it makes it probable that a Republican can win.

That's not the issue. The issue is whether Palin, specifically, can win.

Because the risks of a second Obama Administration is so frightening, it is irresponsible to nominate someone and play Russian Roulette with the choice. It is why I don't have a preferance except that the person comes into the race with a favorable probability of sending Obama back to community organizing.

Today the odds are strongly against Palin being able to win. Too many large States with too many Electoral votes seem well beyond her reach.

Now you can respond again with calling me a commie and all the rest and the readers can judge whether they want to take the country into a second Obama term following delusional zealots like you.

LOL. She quit...

Palin has been the only Republican willing to take on Obama at the height of his popularity.

She got called up to the Major Leagues and is the front runner to win the nomination.

Total BS.

Palin is the odds on favorite to win the nomination. Obama will not win Texas, Floria, Ohio, Indiana and may not hold onto NewJersey and Pennslyvania...as he has lost the white working class vote, the senior vote and the Independent vote.

Ok, so reading comprehension is a problems with you. Check the dates. It is during the 08 campaign.

That is the most recent thing I can find. If she has come out in support of building a fence and stated what she would do with 12 million illegals as often as you claim, then there should be all sorts of sites and articles sourcing it. But, there isn't. I have done several searches and all that comes up are the quotes from 2 years ago. Why is that?
