"It is immoral. Plus it is an unconstitutional and unwarranted abridgment of your rights by the government. The Constitution says that we are to be “secure in (our) persons” against “unreasonable search and seizure.” Asking law-abiding citizens who want to fly in an airplane to pose for the government's x-ray-vision machine is an unreasonable search which does anything but leave us secure in our persons."

I will be flying Saturday morning and I only hope I'm not provoked by the TSA morons into an incident I'll regret and end up by not being able to fly. A person can take only so much.

Can you imgaine the people that WANT to “screen” will ATTRACT as “screeners”?

PERVERTS!

Look at ANY same sex orgnaization such as the Boy Scouts. WHO constantly challenges the Scouts on being “troop leaders” or being a “scout”? The HOMOS!

If you are a PERVERT, wouldn’t you LOVE to be PAID to be a PERVERT, in the OPEN? Force others to SUBMIT to being felt up?

Let’s put it this way, would you like to be paid to feel up someone all day long? That is what this boils down to.

Some bizarro-looking photo on a scanner doesn’t bother me nearly as much as the people on the Lockerbie flight were inconvenienced when they got scattered across half of Scotland. This is one of those times when the government is damned if they do and damned if they don’t. Some combination of profiling, technology and armed agents on certain flights would seem to be best but I’d hate to be the person who has to sign off on it. You know they are going to be crucified no matter what.

Airport officials poo-poo any complaints ....

What kind of laxative do you need for that?

Really? Another thread about the damn scanners? If we (R) were in office it would be a non issue on FR.

So you’ve been stripped and peeped at and finally get to use the ticket you bought to fly. While you’ve been degraded by the TSA, the baggage handlers are throwing uninspected parcels and baggage into the cargo hold that can blow you out of the sky. This crazy, PC business does not make you a bit safer from determined terrorists, but it does provide fat paychecks for 58,000 TSA employees paid for with your taxes.

Lonsberry claims this is unnecessary, twice. Yet he doesnt offer an alternative. I’m not a fan of this screening but the people to blame are the MUSLIMS. What outrages people (other than the privacy issues) is that other measures (like PROFILING) are not being taken and that we bend over backwards to exempt the very people trying to kill us. The unpleasant truth is that as soon as some Muslim scum blows up a plane this screening was going to happen anyway. At least we may prevent it from happening. Of course if they start using bombs placed inside body cavities, things may get a whole lot worse.

Interesting how Christians and Jews don’t seem to be able to claim moral immunity, yet muslim women may get that immunity.....Are they a protected class?

Is any of this constitutional????

This is getting ridiculous. Can’t we just create a special airline flown by Muslim pilots exclusively for muslim passengers with rashers of bacon installed in the overhead compartments so they won’t blow themselves up? We can even have a progressive section at the rear of the aircraft for any Liberals that scream discrimination. They can atone for America by preparing the in-flight Halal meals. Problem solved.

I dunno...I’ve been swimming on the nude beaches of Hawaii, Greece, California, and Georgia—not to mention the showers at the gym since high school—and it never occurred to me to feel uncomfortable—but I’ll tell you one thing: I will never submit a child to a TSA “patdown”—or anything like it. I also don’t want my children going through that scanner—the radiation effect of which nobody knows! And I definitely don’t want them flying in a plane that some terrorist blows up! I think it’s best to avoid flying until this mess is cleared up. And I am encouraged by the outcry!

This is intolerable.

So what are you going to do Mr. Lonsberry? Write another indignant column? Send them a sternly worded letter?

Of course they say that the radiation is insignificant. They say the same about dental xrays, but the provider stands behind a lead shield. Of course, the effects are cumulative.

Was it all a dream? Did the America I was born into ever really exist? Did I put on the uniform and give up three years of otherwise lucrative life to defend a people and a form of governance that would tolerate all this?

Too many of my fellow Americans see what is happening and think it good. Apparently, the younger the more likely to be comfortable with their loss of liberty. We, my generation, have failed those who came after, and put to shame the blood sacrifices of our fathers who gave all to end the terrors of Imperial Japan and NAZI Germany, by not passing along our love of self reliance and liberty. We gave our children to the care government schools and did not see the trap laid for them. They, more than we, will pay an unfathomable price.

This government mocks us at our own airports. We are asked to step into machines, ominously reminiscent of the “termination booths” of Eminiar VII, to raise our arms in symbolic surrender to terrorists, as a plea for the preservation of our miserable lives. Could this mass of quivering chattel have once been a proud and free people? It was a dream. It must have been a dream.

I weep for my country. It is become a tragedy beyond words. It is a hope destroyed, a potential unrealized. I am sickened to the heart.

But, lo, hope still lingers. It echoes in the guns of November. It rings in the halls of electronic networks connecting patriots together who are now stung to wakefulness by the intrusions of a dream turned nightmare. But will it be enough? Will it be enough?

Of all the people on earth, which ones do you feel comfortable taking your clothes off in front of?

Whoever happens to be in the locker room at my gym.

I'm from VA and am flying Thursday. If they single me out, I will opt-out and if they “touch my junk” I will file a sexual assault charge with our attorney general. He has been great so far, maybe he will rise to this one too. It would be great for the State to sue the feds on a sexual assault charge.

Eat lots of cabbage and beans before flying.

When they feel your butt let a big stinky one fly.

As usual, Lonsberry’s views are the closest to my own. I’ve just listened to a video of Hannity and Malkin discussing this; it’s sickening to hear that they (especially Malkin) will not take a stand against this on principle. Malkin even says outright that the privacy concerns don’t matter so much to her: “It’s not the privacy concerns that bother me so much Sean as it is the fundamental issues of trust and competence...The question here domestically comes down to, do you trust the TSA to administer this policy in an effective manner?”

The Nazis administered their policies in an effective manner, Michelle. :(
