Nothing else.
Agree totally! They're ruining a perfectly good show all in the name of politics. I'd be surprised if it returns for another season. It's a DANCING competition! Bristol was certainly improving, but she was no way close to her competitors . Thanks to all of those voting her through they have probably caused her great embarrassment. She's not dumb, and I'm sure is well aware of what's going on. What a shame!
I agree. Several times in the show Kyle’s dances were awfull...I’m thinking of the one he did dressed like Charlie’s Angels.....He did disco dancing in the middle! It was horrible...Yet the judges gave him great scores. I think Carrie Ann was giving him scores based on his personality......(It’s been obvious that they have wanted bristol off from the begining) Including when the Celb Guest judges gave everyone else a 10 and Kelly Osbourne gave her a 9
The JUDGES barely placed Brandy above Bristol, my wife was surprised at the beginning of the show and said to me “Brandy is in third place!”
Bristol won BECAUSE of the judges’ scores. The fact is Bristol’s one dance was great she completely put herself in that haunting character and the judges gave her all “9’s” As pointed out by someone else, she was able to beat Brandy with very little margin provided by the viewers.
WHAT? There is a daily backlash against Sarah by liberals, or haven't you noticed?
"Immoral" is too strong a word for this, of course, but the point is exactly that just because you act within the rules doesn't mean you are being fair. The boss can promote the cute employee or he can promote his golf buddy instead of you. That's his right and I would defend that right. But that doesn't make him fair.
And I also agree that DWTS is a popularity contest. And controversy probably helps the business. But in the past the winner has been objectively one of the top two dancers even if it was debatable who was the best. It is only my opinion but I believe that promoting someone over another with clearly more ability isn't right, no matter the excuse, be it an appeal to amateurism, improvement or political opinions.
This is no different than the opposite "sin" of the entertainment industry blackballing conservatives.
I thought that, if we all stood for anything, we stood for what was right and what was fair, not what some lawyer said we could get away with.
Homophobic gay slur.
Kids say that stuff all the time. BFD...and you’re right about the “teabagger” part too.
And Brandy also has dancing experience (choreography for her music videos, etc.) that gave her an unfair advantage over every other contestant who was not a professional dancer. Probably the only contestant who had even anywhere close to the professional dance training as Brandy was Jennifer, but her dancing was for one movie about 20 years ago.
If you were concerned about an inferior dancer advancing because of the popular vote you should really have objected to the overweight unathletic guy whose major accomplishment appears to be an ability to shake his oversized butt at an unexpectedly high rate of speed.
‘Why should someone be allowed to vote mulitple times? The rules suck wet dog fur...’
You want unfair, how about illiterates who do not know the name of their congressman having a vote equal to you and I? Those rules really suck, and can mean life and death.
You are completely wrong because the dance judges scored Brandy and Bristol almost equal. End of story. Why are you pretending Brandy was so ahead on her dance scores? She wasn’t.
It was Kyle, along with Bristol, who knockd Brandy out.
Bristol won BECAUSE of the judges scores. The fact is Bristols one dance was great she completely put herself in that haunting character and the judges gave her all 9s As pointed out by someone else, she was able to beat Brandy with very little margin provided by the viewers.
I think you might have misunderstood my post. Did you read the quote I was responding to?
Whoa, come on now.
This is not the Super Bowl or the World Series here folks. This is not a sporting event, it is primetime entertainment program. There are no touchdowns and field goals. Bristo was more entertaining to the American public.
ABC will net major ratings next week.
I am pretty sure Gov Palin will deal appropriately with Willow and when and how she does will be nobody's da*& business.
If DWTS allows 10 votes (or however many votes) per person, then it's perfectly legit. All contestants are entitled to the same thing - not just Bristol. If you favor another contestant, vote for them, but don't whine about the rules as they pertain to voting for Bristol as they are set up by the show itself.
Just a general “you get what you vote for”.
Too bad these trolls don’t get it’s a popularity contest.
Bologna! Every person in the country has the same number of votes! Brandy is a professional entertainer with a huge fan base. Do you not think her fans were "stuffing the ballot box" for her? Trust me, they were! You have not even seen Bristol dance next week, so how can you say it will be unfair? She nailed the Paso Roble (sp) and should have earned 10s for it!
Starting next week, it is a clean slate - not based on what has gone before. It is a new contest and will be based on the combined scores of the judges and the callers votes! That is the way it is and has always been! All dancers have the same chance of scoring well with the judges next week and based on the incredible improvements Bristol has made to date, I would not be surprised to see her finally earn some 10s! This girl is not a quitter! Is Jennifer a better dancer? I would hope so since she stared in Dirty Dancing and her FATHER is Joel Grey (an actor and professional DANCER). So Jennifer has a HUGE advantage. If that is the only criteria then they should not have a contest that pits someone with a lifetime of experience and exposure to dancing with someone who has never danced in her life. If that were the criteria then Bristol should have just quit on the first day.
‘we stood for what was right and what was fair’
“All’s fair in love and war.” We are in a culture war.
And another point. I think it was a cheap shot on Fox's part to pit Bristol against Brandy as the final two. They knew the results beforehand. They could just as easily have pitted Brandy against one of the other two. But, I'm guessing they were more interested in stirring up political resentment against Bristol and creating more controversy than they needed to. Ratings I guess.
The bias is obvious. Especially when they got her to dress in a monkey costume to make her look like a fool...
I know people who have a 100 different emails to vote for Derek.
The show is on ABC, not FOX.
