Perhaps one of the most controversial topics today is the use of naked body scanners at airports by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), a branch of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). As this investigation found, it is indeed a matter deserving of such controversy and further investigative focus. Using the attempted Christmas Day 2009 bombing of Northwest Airlines Flight 253 by 23-year-old underwear bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab as Exhibit A for needing the ultra-intrusive naked body scanners, the TSA, under the direction of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, stepped up their purchases and deployment of the scanners to U.S. airports.

They want us to get used to the idea of Constitution-free zones, starting with airports, then expanding.
TSA must be disbanded and TSA goons placed back on welfare where they came from.
ok then we can all avoid the malls? and home school all the children....
If they can constitutionally do this at airports .... they can do it anywhere.
malls
schools
your job
church
government buildings
the street
the sidewalk
ANYWHERE!
I have no idea how the government has the authority to do a strip search because you want to use a private companies product.
If the airlines were government owned it would make sense, and I can see it being ok for international flights. But domestic flights on private airlines... wth? where in the constitution does it give government the authority to strip search everyone that wants to fly from Dallas to Houston?
Can’t we just kill the bad guys?
Elastic waistband shorts and no undies. Opt out, drop trou.
(Well, long pants for those not blessed with year round shorts weather.)
I would love to know what percentage of the TSA workers are black or hispanic.
Each little step toward tyranny is likely to seem justifiable at the moment, but then you wake up one morning with a boot on your neck.
Does anyone have any more info on storage?
Also, are passengers ID'd for the scan? If so, would ID information be stored along with the image if a database, in fact, exists?
This is creepy.
I agree totally. The TSA was formed for no other reason than to turn the U.S. into a police state.
Maybe not now, but I’m sure the death panels will being using them evenutally. That, along with a complete DNA profile.
“Oh, look! John has a little too much around the middle. Treatment denied!”
looking at the malls around me these days I’d say there aren’t many bodies to be scanned
I read yesterday that the CEO of the body scanner company went on vacation with Mooch and her husband last week.
I knew this Homeland Security BS was a slippery slope!
As it stands right now, you won’t see me in an airport ever again. This is an absolute invasion of privacy and it should not be tolerated!
I’ll bet the Mooslimb women aren’t being groped by TSA agents if they refuse to go through the body scanner!
Makes you resent the Cult of Islam even more.
Our Walmart was recently renovated into a Super Walmart. In the bakery section there is a woman muzzie (in full regalia) working there. I won’t buy the baked goods. I don’t trust any of them.
Body scanners outside the bullet-proof glass at hospitals, before you go in for 5 minutes with an Obamacare physician and receive your Soylent Green Card.
As the technology improves (as technology usually does), these gizmos will get smaller and probably cheaper. That would lead to an increase in their use by our expanding, overly-intrusive gubmint.
You may not even know you're walking thru or by one...until the jackbooted thugs grab you and say "Please come with us, Sir. We need to take a look at that object you have in your backpack." "But, but...that's my lunch!"
I'm amazed my mother is willing to travel. She recently got back from a domestic flight, she deliberately wore tighter clothing in the hopes she wouldn't be groped. They did an "xray" (don't know if it was the body scanner or just xray), then the wand, then the groping. They even reached inside her waistband all the way around to see if she was concealing anything. As a "72 year old All American woman" (her words) she did not appreciate it.
It's outrageous what they're doing.
You’ll also need to disband the Rand corporation— who created ‘homeland security’ and designed the TSA.
Give ‘em a little more time and we’ll all have to pay extra for this “service”...and...they’ll charge us by the pound.
SSDD. The carpetbaggers, relying on terrorism, have a new and improved product for sell.
