McCain worries about US isolationism, protectionism (McCain attacks Rand Paul, Tea Party)

WASHINGTON (AFP) — US Senator John McCain said Monday that he worried about eroding Republican support for the war in Afghanistan and "the rise of protectionism and isolationism" in his party.

"I worry a lot about the rise of protectionism and isolationism in the Republican Party," McCain, President Barack Obama's Republican rival for the White House in 2008, told a foreign policy forum.

The Arizona lawmaker cited incoming Republican senator Rand Paul, stressing "already he has talked about withdrawals from, or cuts in defense, et cetera, And a number of others are."

"There's no doubt that this new group of Republicans have come in with a commitment to take a meat ax to spending," said McCain, who underlined it would be hard to declare military outlays "sacrosanct" in such an atmosphere.

And how many of us KNEW this was coming way back when McCain was running around PRETENDING to be tough on the Border so he could win his primary race? Of course he’s gonna go back to his amnesty position! Fools alone believed otherwise.

McCain's New World Order puppeteers must be getting nervous. The dang American-Americans are stinking up the international, foreign interest centered party. Good.

Can't believe the Arizona GOP put this traitorous tool back in the Senate.

Juan is returning to form now that he has been elected. What I don’t understand is how Arizona can elect a Governor like Jan Brewer while sending Juan McAmnesty to the Senate to harass the rest of the country.

First of all, I wish JD would have won. Secondly, for a few months before the election, Juan McBeasty looked as though he was going to go toward the right, but as usual Juan lied to the people he is supposed to be representing. Maybe one day, there will be a third party strong enough to beat the Liberals and r’holes’ out of their comfortable seats. Oh yeah, that's the Tea Party. It senses as though there is something in the water in the southwestern part of the United States. Brown, Reid, McNasty, and a few of their liberal friends made it back into office. Well there's always 2012 and 2014.

I think Megan is trying to provide cover for her dad. If she sounds crazy, it distracts us from him sounding crazy. John... seriously, its time to retire. Let the torch pass and fade off into respectable retirement. Please...

“That would take away the cheap applause line McCain has used for years, and then he might actually have to look a real spending reductions instead of making mountains out of mole hills.”

You mean like the medicare prescription drug expansion that he filibustered? Or maybe you mean the elimination of ethanol subsidies that he called for, which guaranteed that he wouldn’t have a chance in Iowa.

What a joke.

It looks and feels more like our vaunted leaders are bending over more and more everyday to other nations and even bowing in fealty to the point if they bend any further they are going to snap their spine.

Oh and Juan:

GFYS and STFU

He threw the 2008 election. It was "their turn."

He was/is a shill.

It was all a game.

The cruel joke was played on US, the American People (as well as to the consternation of Sarah Palin and her inner team), and we are suffering today as a result of this two-party elite, rigged collusion at the very pinnacle of power.

Why can’t McCain just check himself into a nursing home and go away. This fraud is going to be on every Sunday Talk show for the next 6 years speaking for Republicans.

I feel ill just thinking about it.

This is why McInsane failed utterly in his bid for president, and not even a powerful and charismatic personality like Palin’s could save him. Arizona Dems and Libs got this village idiot reelected and IT SHOWS in his every word and deed.
