The ratings are in, and it looks like Sarah Palins Alaska is a hit. TLC says nearly 5 million total viewers tuned in to the premiere of the series.
In case you havent seen our previous coverage, Sarah Palins Alaska is a documentary series from producer Mark Burnett and starring former Alaska governor and Fox News Channel contributor Sarah Palin.
TLC says 4.96 million total viewers tuned in, including 1.8 million adults 25-54, and 1.6 million adults 18-49, two of the networks key demos. That is the best premiere in network history with regards to total viewers, beating the 2003 debut of What Not to Wear.
And there are many that don’t get TLC that would have watched it.
“My only gripe is: Sarah Palin talks all the time. Talk. Talk. Talk. Talk. Talk. Even when she was climbing the base of the mountain (without GLOVES !). Its like she thinks with her mouth. It got kinda annoying towards the end.”
That is something she really needs to work on.
“God figure, I had just the exact opposite reaction. The fishing part was my least favorite part. I loved the rock climbing part. I think I was amazed that Sarah would let that episode stay in the show. She was truly wanting to opt out of that climb, but she was cognizant of not “giving up” no matter what. I think that it showed her true grit more than anything. She could have opted out and cut it from the show. Her ego was not so large that she would stop them from showing her fear and struggle on the final cut. “
That’s the one quote that people will use against her. “oh ho ho! But you DID quit as governor, uh huh?” I don’t think she’s the kind of person who gives a flying patootie what they will say.
I agree it was a bit much. The whole rock climbing ordeal was over the top and contrived. Todd is the quiet one.
On balance her talk and his quiet seem to work.
I noticed the “45 minutes later” :)
The whacked out lib from salon.com Joan something or other, felt it helps her.
If I am aloud to say this...Sarah sure has great legs! I knew she had great legs, but I did not realize to what extent until now.
She is a rare beauty from head to toe, inside and out. And what`s wrong with great legs in the White House I ask???
It sure has.
There's a DUmmie FUnnie thread on it today (Tues). It's posted under 'Bloggers'.
The moonbats over at the DU Ant Farm are apoplectic.
I can assure you that liberals were watching it. They probably taped it. They love to hate her but can’t get enough of her. Palin derangement syndrome.
Funny you should say that. My nephew also votes for the first time in 2012 and he cannot wait. A Sarah fan too, he is registering as an R with a family full of Ds. Times, they are changin.
ABC, I believe, also didn’t want “Monk” so it ended up on USA!!!!!
Just don't let him have a gun.
Yet, oddly, they believe they 'know' more than everyone else.
RUSH made a good point today. these numbers beat every newscable show. including BOR, Hannity, Greta not to mention the CNN, MSNBC types. Or in other words Palin now has a platform to go over the heads of all the cablenews shows.
As much as I love Sarah, this “crap” is stuck with her forever. Tons of grit going after and winning the governorship then no grit on sticking out(what ever your excuses for doing so is). Look what W went through, do you guys think he should have walked? Well he didn’t, he had what John Wayne called true grit. His numbers were in the thirties, the MSM and all the press was on his butt constantly calling him stupid and illiterate, they called him a liar and cheat, yet, he stuck it out.
I don’t remember President Bush having to use thousands of taxpayer dollars to fight back vengeful ethics charges every minute of every day like Governor Palin had to do—ALL of them unfounded, IIRC...President Bush? Not so much, unless that happened to him to, having to answer charges every minute of every day thus taking his focus and attention away from what was important for the people of America...
Governor Palin didn’t resign because she was afraid of fighting back. She quit FOR the people of Alaska.
Meh. PDS. I HATE finding it here on FR!!! >:-(
Nonsense.
Leaving the Alaskan Governorship was a shrewd and calculated move, which freed Palin to go forward with her Presidential ambitions.
Since she left, she has rallied the conservative movement to elect many Tea Party members; she has raised millions for conservative candidates; she has proven her attraction as a media star; and she has earned millions of dollars to spend on her next campaign.
Sarah is a doer, not a whiner. She is an overcomer. She gives her enemies the fits. What a perfect strategerist she is! No one can refudiate her.
What ever.
Hate much?
