When we think of reality show, we think trashy housewives and serial dating, but this is not your typical reality show. Instead, Sarah Palin's Alaska is a unique look into faith, family, love, strong American values and the natural beauty Alaska has to offer.
It really goes into the life of Sarah Palin not the politics of it, Roxy Stahl from Motive Entertainment tells Townhall, adding that the show is designed to be a documentary rather than a reality series, showcasing the great outdoors.
During the course of the series, viewers will get to know Todd Palins grandmother Lena, an Alaska Eskimo who has passed on native traditions, such as harvesting salmon, to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Quite an impressive family history.
TLC is interested in creating more family friendly shows and more shows on the inspirational side, Stahl says.
In the premiere episode, members of the Palin family are seen fishing in bear country and scaling a snowy mountain pass in Alaskas famous Denali National Park.
Overall, this is an opportunity for viewers to see Sarah Palin for who she really is personally, as a wife, mother and career woman, without the media spin machine distorting her image or the distraction of being surrounded by political hoopla.

I think that is why some groups are urgong boycotts of the show becasue if people see Sara palin they might actuallly
like her
That is one I’ll have to miss...foot ball games on all day and evening and if there is a race on...that will get watched too...hubby controls the remote LOL.
Thanks for the ping!
I’m planning to sit undisturbed...lol. Is there a time delay for the West Coast?
Awww... maybe you could tape/DVR/TiVo it?
Also, "Sarah Palin's Alaska" re-airs each Sunday at 11pm ET, so you may get a second chance... ;-)
What time does the show come on? Its 9pm pacific time right? Just want to be sure so I don’t miss a second of this show
Yes, I think so. All the TLC site shows is:
Premieres Tonight! Nov. 14 at 9/8C.
AWESOME will be watching..my Mom will be watching in the Den and I will be watching in my room. Can’t wait!
“There is question, the girl just turned 20 a few weeks ago, and seems to be doing pretty well, she forgot to mail in her Alaskan absentee ballot during this whirlwind television appearance on a dancing show where she is earning a decades worth of income in a couple of months, it happens.”
Hollywood celebs make even more money and I have always maintained that they are also dumber than a pile of rocks. America needs more engineers and business leaders and fewer contestants for American Idol.
“You really don’t come of too well with your immature rantings against her and her mother. Bristol is not even a freeper, yet we get to see your pettiness exposed on thread after thread related to Governor Palin and her daughter.”
The more Americans (especially independents) see Bristol, the better the chances that Obama will win re-election in 2012. That’s the bottom line. I couldn’t care less about Bristol if she wasn’t such a liability.
“No matter what he or she does once in office?”
That’s why it is important for candidates to have a long track record so that we have some idea of what to expect. But as we find on every mutual fund prospectus: “The performance data shown represents past performance, which is not a guarantee of future results”
You posted this link a few days ago, and I grabbed it
Todd and Family go to The Range
I was amazed at how much Bristol looks like her mom, so grabbed a couple screen shots:
Yes, that is Bristol in all of the pics.
Her is one of mom:
I can't wait. She's going to convert a lot of apolitical people with this series.
Your image just keeps sinking as you keep going after the daughter in such a catty, girlish way.
OH WOW!!! Syncro - awesome = more than grate!
You betcha, she sure does look like her Mom in those photos!
I’m not concerned about my image among Palin-worshipers.
Plus it will be a moot point later on.
She will be comfortably in the background when it is important for her to do so.
Not that those posters that rag on issues such as this are right.
Some are on a mission to trash conservatives and they are effectively outing themselves quite early over issues of no importance. LOL not too smart!
I get private emails all the time from people who thank me for my posts.
