BRUNSWICK, Ga. -- A homeowner has fatally shot a masked burglar only to learn the burglar was a longtime friend. Ezekiel Wiley says he fired all six bullets at a man who crawled through a busted kitchen window, armed with a screwdriver Wednesday. Wiley said he couldn't see the burglar's face....frpa

Not much of a friend.
Weird. Though part of me wonders if all is as represented. Could this guy’s death have been staged?
Expect to see more of this as the economy tanks.
I’ve explained to my own brother, a recovering addict, that if he breaks into my home in the middle of the night, he should count on being carted out on a stretcher.
I don’t care if the person breaking in is my own mother, if you’re in my home without my permission and breaking in to do so, you’re going to be dispatched quickly.
Did Ezekiel quote from Ezekiel first?
I wonder what his enemies are like?
It would be a tragedy if the homeowner had fired upon a friend who was staying over...but this was actually a good shoot, hard as it might be for him to accept right now.
He wasn’t coming over to say “hi.”
"Rastus, is dat you?"
BLAM,BLAM,BLAM,BLAM,BLAM. BLAM."
scarce or extinct.
Even with a key, I was always afraid to enter my dad’s home at night. If I had to I would yell loudly that it was me, and even then I half expected to die.
Glynn County police found William Bernard Stafford, 47, of Brunswick dead where he fell in Wileys kitchen. Stafford, a felon with a history of crimes dating back to 1980, was carrying a screwdriver, police said.
:)
He who burgles a friend’s house, is off the “friend” list forever!
I can imagine that being stabbed with a screwdriver must be one of the more painful ways of being attacked.
A friend of mine’s son got into drugs, and apparently he stole stuff from relatives’ houses and houses of friends of the family to pay for his drugs. So this is apparently not all that uncommon with criminals.
We have seen it. It gets to a point that the drug is their only friend. They'll rip off friends and relatives with no hesitation at all.
I’d imagine it happens a lot more than people realize. After all, who knows exactly what you have and probably a pretty good idea of what it’s worth?
If you have friends who have been busted for drugs or theft before, you can pretty much figure that if they decide to steal from someone, they’re not going to give you a pass just because you’re “buddies”.
Crooks are crooks. They are bad people. That’s pretty much part of the job description.
Expect to see more of this as the economy tanks.
