I and the rest of the local TEA party members worked our butts off for Harmer. A pox on the 8,000 AIP party members that threw their votes away, and may have given the seat to the donkeys. 8,000 idiots.

The votes are just being counted. This is still the first count.

Same thing in CO. Buck would have won for sure without the third parties. So sad.

That is the usual MO; count, recount, and continue the recounts until the Rat is ahead, then shut down the counting and declare the Rat the winner.

it's a known fact that dems will keep counting....but why don't we say instead...let's do something about it. Stay on your Senator's back.

Prison time and heavy fines.

This has to change or we'll end up like Venezuela where no matter how you vote Chavez always wins.

Kinda makes voting a waste of time.

I’m actually surprised to see the A.G. still up for grabs. I thought we had lost all top offices.

I know this may not be a popular opinion around here, but I think Tom Tancredo’s remark about 0bama being worse than Al Qaida hurt Ken Buck. I like Ken Buck and it is a shame he lost.

Absolutely right - so why doesn’t the GOP have about a hundred lawyers at all the close races??? It’s well known here in CA that the seiu is both recounting and watching the recount! I bet there was fraud in NV, WA and AK.

I’m actually sort of tired to hear people spout the usual meme that Democrats always win close races (Florida 2000, Ohio 2004)

In the case of CD-11, Harmer (R) filed a lawsuit in Contra Costa County court and won the right to have his attorneys looking right over the shoulder of the counters, rather than having to watch from a gallery at a distance.

Harmer may still lose (THANKS American Independent Party !!!) but it won’t be for having a lack of cojones.

You might be right.
I think Buck was just a couple of poor sound bites from winning.
I am most disappointed about this race.

meme or not...registered GOP voters are now being asked to go to the Registrar’s office in San Jose to oversee the “recount”.

the FL 2000 win was legit as was proven by recount after recount even after the final verdict of the SCOTUS - much to the dismay of the losing party.

I will remind you of Kennedy/Nixon and the Chicago vote in 1964.

I'll call Barbara Boxer first thing in the morning.

The 8,000 AIP members may have been idiots, but not because they wanted to vote for their party's candidate, but because they thought by signing up to the AIP they were registering as Independents and voting for a fellow Independent.

The California AIP really should change its name to the Constitution or Conservative Party to see what their true level of support is. Lots of really stupid or confused people sign up for the AIP thinking they are registering as independents. Even Gavin Newsome's ultraliberal wife accidentally signed up as AIP.

But of course the greedy/vain bastards that run the AIP will never do so because they would rather get lots of confused people signing up to swell their ranks than get a true accounting of their support.

I generally support people voting third party, but only if they clearly understand what they are doing.
