Listen up, California. The other 48 states—your cousin New York excluded—are sick of your bratty arrogance. You're the Lindsay Lohan of states: a prima donna who once showed some talent but is now too wasted to do anything with it.
After enjoying ephemeral highs and spending binges, you suffer crashes that culminate in brief, unsuccessful stints in rehab. This cycle repeats itself every five to 10 years, as the rest of the country looks on with a mixture of horror and amusement. We'd feel sorry for you if you didn't constantly flip us the bird.
Instead, we're making bets on how long it will be before your next meltdown. Oh, wait—you're already melting down.
You've racked up nearly $70 billion in general obligation debt, and that doesn't include your $500 billion unfunded pension liability. Your own analysts predict you'll face a hole of at least $80 billion over the next four years.
Your government's run by a brothel of environmentalists, lawyers, public-sector unions and legislative bums. When they're not taxing or spending, they're creating regulations and commissions like the Board of Barbering and Cosmetology and the California Blueberry Commission. Many businesses would leave if it weren't for your sunny climate.
Which may explain why you're so obsessed with climate change. If your climate changes, no one, including your Hollywood friends, would tolerate you anymore. So you've created a law to tax carbon emissions—no matter that it will kill jobs.
It's not as if you don't recognize that you've got problems. Roughly three-quarters of you say you're headed in the wrong direction.

With the 2/3 rule against tax increases thrown out, the DemocRATS in charge of all branches of government, and a new method of redistricting about to he installed, the Republican tsunami seen elsewhere may be two years delayed in California.
My ex-California co-worker describes California as a woman with big beautiful breasts, but absolutely no brain.
I suspect that a large bailout is central to Gov Moonbeam's plans.
We are gaining 4 more seats in the US House and just went to a deeper shade of red. It appears we are getting the right-thinking Californians leaving the dead-beats and scum there in the Golden State. Though not scientific, this is the impression that I am getting.

Lindsay Lohan is in a LOT better shape than CA. Maybe by some miracle - she may change. The state of CA reelecting Moonbeam is pretty much hopeless.

There will be no Republican tsunami in California. Two out of three Mexican voters vote democrat. If Los Angeles County seceded and joined Mexico we could save the rest of California.
So that means it:
Doesn’t look half as good as it used to
Smells of alcohol
Often makes the news for stupidity
Is going broke and expects Daddy to bail it out
Is all torn up inside
Is largely artificial and not half as appealing as it thinks it is
And guess who they will have their pudgy little hands out to, when they go under . . .

The uber liberal fascist powers that be in CA claim that since they pay so much in federal taxes, they are entitled to get more back than any other state. Cut spending??? Not a chance...
On avg the last 10 years - Calif has been #8 highest state paying fed taxes and on avg #35 in getting them back.
