With the 2/3 rule against tax increases thrown out, the DemocRATS in charge of all branches of government, and a new method of redistricting about to he installed, the Republican tsunami seen elsewhere may be two years delayed in California.
We are gaining 4 more seats in the US House and just went to a deeper shade of red. It appears we are getting the right-thinking Californians leaving the dead-beats and scum there in the Golden State. Though not scientific, this is the impression that I am getting.
There will be no Republican tsunami in California. Two out of three Mexican voters vote democrat. If Los Angeles County seceded and joined Mexico we could save the rest of California.
Not true. What was thrown out was the 3/3 requirement for passing a budget, not tax increases.

Sorry for the typo.
It was was the 2/3 budget passing rule that was thrown out. A supermajority is still required to raise taxes. In addition voters added a 2/3rd majority to raise "fees", which the legislature had used in the past to short-circuit the supermajority required to raise taxes.
