Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) cost the GOP control of the Senate, a powerful House Republican said.
Rep. Spencer Bachus (Ala.) said that Tea Party-backed candidates whom Palin endorsed underperformed against their Democratic rivals, costing the GOP key pickup opportunities.
"The Senate would be Republican today except for states [in which Palin endorsed candidates] like Christine ODonnell in Delaware," Bachus said at a local Chamber of Commerce event last week, the Shelby County Reporter wrote Sunday. "Sarah Palin cost us control of the Senate."
Bachus' is one of the most visible Republicans to criticize Palin for her political activity during this election season. Some Republicans have privately groused that Tea Party-backed candidates who were not electable prevented the GOP from taking control of the upper chamber.

Nor did she back Ken Buck in the Colorado primary. She endorsed Jane Norton, who narrowly lost.
Buck, Angle, McMahon and Rossi weren't hers in the primaries.
Castle, like COD, would have lost in Deleware.
Bachus is a complete idiot.
We need to bottle that stuff. We're going to need a lot of it.
No, her most fatal mistake was endorsing that Rat bastard McCain.
Yeah what a joke. Without Sarah and the Tea Party the GOP was the same old establishment Repubes with their "compassionate conservatives" motto (ie: we're Democrat Lite) that lost to Obama after spending like fiscal liberals. GWB supposedly slams Palin for losing the election for McCainiac. She was the only reason I could bring myself to vote fore that RINO. This old guard GOP has to go the way of the Dodo...
Barkeep, I’ll have whatever Jim and Onyx are having.....(Post 100 and 116)
Bauchus is a moron.
Good post(#144—spot on.
I don’t believe that Palin ever endorsed Norton.
um isnt there a rule against personal attacks of some sort. If so you should grant me an apology
Where did i say i wanted Castle to win? i merely pointed out that he probably would have and that O’Donnell was a flawed candidate from the get go. I reiterate if you have to defend yourself against witchcraft then you lost the argument. it was an analysis not an endorsement so chill out.
you guys need to separate emotion from all this
try relaxing a bit take some deep breathes.

"The Senate would be Republican today except for states [in which Palin endorsed candidates] like Christine O'Donnell in Delaware," Bachus said at a local Chamber of Commerce event last week, the Shelby County Reporter wrote Sunday.Bachus is just a liar -- O'Donnell won the primary, and it was up to the miserably corrupt jackoffs like him to support her. Instead, they badmouthed her at every turn, COSTING HER THE ELECTION.
How's the tasty Kool-Aid?
Christine O'Donnell dropped further, the more people got to know her and the more tied to Republicanism she was.
She got more votes the last time she ran for Senate than this time around.
Facing realities is better than than chugging the Kool-Aid. The electorate needs to be won, not the seats.
Yeah, you're right...the RNC did everything in its power to help her.
What, do you want them to cruise the state penitentiary for candidates next, since character doesn’t matter anymore?
She’s not conservative in her deeds, even if she spouts the right words, and many Delawareans are sick and tired of her lies.
And the RNC is?
Such as?
Rep. Spencer Bachus, You need to take a ride on the road to Damascus and hope that you see a bright light. That would be enlightenment, a showing of the error of your ways.
The reason the Tea Party favorites lost was because they did not get the whole hearted support of the Republican Party or because it was not yet time.
Come talk to us after you have ridded us of the witches from Maine. Otherwise, be silent.
One of character, who believed in honesty over party.
