Vanity: D.C. Schools: Now Serving Dinner

Posted on 11/07/2010 11:57:51 AM PST by TigerClaws

A year ago, President Obama said that, for many of the nation's public school students, their school lunch is "their most nutritious meal—sometimes their only meal—of the day." Now, 10,000 kids in the nation's capital are getting an early dinner, in addition to their lunch and breakfast, at school.

This will give their mothers more welfare benefits that can be spent on other things.

So the schools of DC have become de-facto orphanages.

LOL!!! Until the federal money dries up.

I’m convinced these RATS have no thought process. This is like my brother saying he supports a single payer plan because he doesn’t believe in a health care monopoly.

I'm sure all those poor, emaciated, underweight DC kids will appreciate this...

This is a good idea! Just think, now that they have three squares a day, there is no need for food stamps.

"Who is going to stop this program without being called evil" Patriots who love freedom and don't give a crap what their mindless enemies think. I do not think we have many of those in our fine Government these days.. I agree totally, I have no problem with them stopping this program. I just do not see any in power right now that has the big brass ones to do it.

Not just delinquent but mentally insufficient parents as well.

When the courts turned the mental patients loose, that meant many of them got to get involved in child care.

So, I suppose we should punish young children on account of the failure of the courts to protect them.

I have an idea. How about providing a bed and clothes?

Then the parents can walk away entirely, without having to go through the trouble of even seeing the wretched things.

Milwaukee, Wisonsin’s public schools don’t just serve dinner - they serve meals over the summer.

It is the old dilemma-do you let the kids go hungry because of delinquent parents?

Come on now, stand outside any school and see if you can spot a skinny kid. Maybe in the tony suburbs and in the private schools but in the inner city you won't see many.

Someone here posted a link to a youtube video of a black American Bandstand television program from 40 years ago. It was amazing, the kids were all skinny as rails.
