I never expected to write this letter, but my Mom e-mailed me to get information about my career for a writeup on Veterans Day, and as this is the first such holiday in 22 years when I will not be on active duty, I felt compelled to let you know why I decided to quit.
Quit is a strong word, I know. Everyone Ive talked to has repeated that Ive had a marvelous career and that Ive retired with honor. Maybe thats true on paper; I guess that its reflected by the record. But thats not how I feel. I feel like Ive quit. And because Im not a quitter, I feel I have to explain why not that anyone is asking, but because perhaps they dont know to ask.

Briefly, my career had been a representation of the promise of this country. Starting out on the lowest rung of the rank ladder as an F-4G Wild Weasel crew chief, continuing on F-16s and the F-117A Stealth fighter in Desert Storm, then a small part of Desert Fox as a nuclear Maintenance Officer and finally a pilot that took part in numerous deployments in Southern Watch, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

My first thought as well.
And remember, the ‘’secret agents’’ are our ‘’soldiers’’ too, and note, it is the democRATS who continually expose, stab them in the back and try to get as many killed as possibile.
I retired at 22 years just after Clinton took office and have never regretted it. A lot my contemporaries retired for the same reasons. I thought that serving under Carter was bad until Clinton came along. Now, I don’t think I could have held out too long with der Fuehrer in power.
Enjoy retirement.
You wouldn't have to ask that question if you'd actually click on the link and read what he has to say.
Did you expect him to continue to serve under such detriment?
I did, and my question still stands. He’s not “quitting” so much as retiring with the feeling of a knife in his back...
Thank you for your selfless service. Without people like you, we would not be the America we are....well used to be.
I don’t want to be to hopeful, but it seems like we the people have finally woken up. I include myself in that silent majority. I used to be quiet, uninformed and uninvolved.
Much has changed. I got a taste of being a lazy a$$ American and I don’t like the bitter pill I was forced to swallow because of my own damn “keep out of it, they know better”.
I will never “sleep” again.
Do you think it would be possible to obtain a list of personnel who resigned and publicly cited this administration as the cause?
I would like to publish a running number. Mind you, I don’t wish to get anyone in trouble, but I think it would be a useful tool for the 2011 elections.
There you go - thinking like I do.
All these punks on the Left need to understand that men with guns stand ready to do violence on their behalf so they can sleep soundly in their beds at night.
The Lefties’ miserable, worthless existence is guaranteed by those they detest the most. How ironic . . . and sad.
In a nutshell, that's why America is not (perhaps "yet") a banana republic. Someone who tells off the system is expected to either stand openly for office or go back to a well-deserved quiet life after saying his piece and stomping off. In a banana republic, someone like him would be courted by a would-be junta.
In a much earlier age, a scold like that would have come from the pulpit...
Ping.................
WOW!!
That’s how I feel about my “fellow” Americans who voted for 0h0m0 and his Chicago junta!

Before the 2000 election red was blue and blue was red appropriately so since Leftists have always been associated with the color red because they are Red.
Ping..............
Your name was missing from the top of YOUR list! LOL
You know, my brother and I have discussed this in depth and you are the only person I’ve seen that seem to notice this. We’ve always been ‘blue’ up until 2000. Thank you for pointing that out.
The ‘red’ was switched to repubs precisely because of the association with communists, marxists a.k.a. hardliners etc. It’s been an attempt to link us with that type of radicalism in the public’s mind. Ironic.
The Communist media can get away with anything, so far. Soon, I hope their personnel will face We The People and it won't be pretty.
The Communists keep changing their name every other election. They are now officially "progressive" because names like Marxists, Communists, Fascists, Liberals, Democrats, Socialists, Reds (became blue and they're acting like blue-blooded Royalty!), etc. tell a lot about them. "progress" is an acceptable good word until they co-opted it, which remind me of the hijacking of the word "gay," one of the nicest words in the English language.
I do believe that one day, the rise of another McCarthy from We The People will outlaw them and their judges, academics, environmentalists, Greens, peace and animal Leftists to the dustbin of history.
