What irritates me that among the blue areas, Americans who have volunteered to go in harm's way are disrespected and maligned by people unfit to shine the shoes of our brave soldiers, Marines, sailors, and airmen.

All these punks on the Left need to understand that men with guns stand ready to do violence on their behalf so they can sleep soundly in their beds at night.

Most of those think that the men with guns are the REASON why things get bad. They don't seem to understand that it only takes ONE person to cause a problem. Mugger, home invader, or islamo-facist jihadi, they think if they can just talk to them, they'll all be able to sing “Kum-ba-Ya” together. Sometimes they survive to learn different, but don't bet on it.

Idea for a political cartoon:

The outline of the U.S., guarded at every point by an armed soldier (complete with bayonet) facing outward. Within the border, at the very center*, a single wispy-bearded, bespectacled bohemian, holding an anti-war protest sign and a "Down with the U.S. sign" and wearing an irritating smirk.

(The "center" would work here for graphic reasons, though we know in real life, the geographic center of the U.S. is actually very conservative and very supportive of those who defend the nation.)

If such a cartoon hasn't been penned, it should be.
