Ex-President George W. Bush rips wisdom of Barack Obama, Sarah Palin and John McCain to friends

WASHINGTON - Two years of retirement haven't dulled George W. Bush's political zest - and President Obama and Sarah Palin are among his under-the-radar targets.

The 43rd President has told friends the ex-Alaska governor isn't qualified to be President and criticizes Arizona Sen. John McCain for putting Palin on the 2008 GOP ticket and handing her a national platform.

"Naming Palin makes Bush think less of McCain as a man," a Republican official familiar with Bush's thinking told the Daily News.

"He thinks McCain ran a lousy campaign with an unqualified running mate and destroyed any chance of winning by picking Palin."

Pardon me???? Palin has as much experience, both in business and politics, as “W” when he initiated his run for the presidency. By making this statement, GWB has erased any positive notions I had left about him.

Mind readers. That's a new one.

IMHO McCain used Palin as a fund raiser for his reelection to the senate in this 2010 election. He sure didn't spend the money on his run for the presidency.

Wasn’t Dan Rather familiar with President Bush’s ANG commander’s thoughts too? These media clymers can all go to hell, with their guessing about other people’s thoughts. It’s probably why libtards think they can police thoughts, as they can read them too.

"In the words of Jesse Jackson, "Stay out da Bushes"."

God help me, but on this point I actually agree with Jesse Jackass. Both Bush presidencies eventually turned out to be disasters, though not nearly as much of a disaster as Obama.

I see no reason to believe that Jebbie-boy will be any different.

I’ve always said that the Bush family would have had no future in politics but for Ronald Reagan, whose policies they scorned. Before being picked for the VP, the father had only won a congressional seat (he couldn’t beat even Lloyd Bentsen for the senate in Texas) and he was a failed party apparatchik who got one bureaucratic sinecure after another. The son starts a trillion dollar war, losing 5000 American lives, over phony reports of “weapons of mass destruction”. Just who is the stupid one unqualified to be President, Mr. Bush?

Heck... Obambi’s even blaming Clinton for the present Democratic Party loses.

He may be right. There is no love lost between three.

I don’t think it is. He was on Oprah and made clear he was not a pundit and would not criticise Obama . He did not want to go back into the swamp

Without a verifiable quote, this is nothing more than partb of continuous anti-Palin smear campaign. The Dems and GOP establishment are afraid that she will upset the "order of things".

Just wait until 2011 when candidates make their announcements, the hit teams will probably start revealing biblical codes indicating Jesus thought Palin would be a weak presidential candidate.

She had positive appeal to a segment of voters. McCain’s actual campaign however was awful. As far as Palin being qualified, all he needed to do was speak plainly and clearly about the Zero’s qualifications(or lack thereof).

McCain should have thrown PC under the bus. But it was a different time and place 2 years ago.

I think now PC can be disregarded. Look at Paladino in New York, if he had one more brain cell than a cow he could have won.

>>> Ahhhh yes...the Bush Derangement Syndrome is so much more PC and acceptable.

Thank you for some common sense and decency.

>>> bush is part of establishment/rove type who look down at others

Such as those who go into shrill kneejerk hysterics over an ANONYMOUS quote that may, or may not, reflect the actual opinions of President Bush? Who don’t even pause to consider that some sort of confirmation before getting angry might be a good idea. If so he may have a point.

Every day the anonymous sources and the poison pills are going to be unleashed on Sarah. It’s the equivalent of negative ads, a drumbeat; psychological warfare. A lot of it is from our side.

Nobody has been harder on President Bush than me. I used to regularly war with the “Bushbot” and “Day in the life” crowds here . But there is no way he did this. Just no way. If Bush was anything, he was too nice to the people he disagreed with.

This is a fabricated lie.

One point you forgot. The "reason" that Bush II started that war was because Bush I didn't finish the first one. In GWI, when the allies had destroyed Saddam's army, they should have blitzkrieged all the way to Baghdad, and hung Saddam from the nearest lamppost. Instead, Bush I listened to that disloyal RINO, Colin Powell, and backed off.

THAT is one of the biggest bones I have to pick with Bush I.

McCain would have won if a certain president hadn't picked a Treasury Secretary who was in the tank for Goldman Sachs.

Of course, McCain would have also won if he was able to laugh as expected when someone demand he fork over $700 billion with no strings attached.

I agree, with President Bush’s book coming out next week, I thought it was an excerpt.

I do not believe W is the type to be this petty.
