Saying he got the message from voters, President Obama invited Republican and Democratic leaders of Congress to the White House after he returns from his trip to Asia to discuss the economy, tax cuts and unemployment insurance. Following a Cabinet meeting, Obama told reporters he invited presumptive House Speaker John Boehner and top Senate Republican Mitch McConnell to meet with him on Nov. 18. The meeting is also to include current House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

The bottom line of this article says it all.....

"No one party will be able to dictate where we go from here," he said in a clear warning to Republicans that he won't simply bow to their demands for a sharply conservative switch in economic policy.

We figured as much. So long screwball in the next election!

Is Obama going to offer them seats in the back of the room?

Will Paul Ryan be Chairman of the Appropriations Committee? Or will it be someone else whose turn it is to be in charge due to senility?

Didn’t Hussein invite Republicans to a meeting of some sort months ago that was nothing but a set-up for his talking points as subsequently reported by the presstitutes?

Well that’s quite a switch from when Hussein thought that one party-his-could dictate policy as if they were the Kremlin, and did just that, ramming Obamacare down the protesting throats of Americans. Because as he said “I won”. And Pelosi with her oversized gavel, what message was that supposed to give? Shoe’s on the other foot now Hussein, eat it.

Executive, legislative, and judicial.

Obama will give up on legislative and shift his agenda to the judicial, via EPA, OSHA, DOT, DOE,DOJ and other agencies with appointed heads. The judicial branch is an unelected branch, which is able to keep the public/voters away with weapons.

The GOP leaders ought to suggest he cancel his $200 million a day jaunt and get down to issues important to the people tomorrow.

Mitch and John should have invited the President to the Capitol where there is a little more room and more Republicans can attend

I recall the meeting where he said "I won".

And I recall the meeting where he very pointedly told Senator McCain, "The election is over".

The House controls spending. That's it. Game, Set, Match.

The very modern notion that the President steers this ship needs to be put aside. Congress passes the legislation, and Congress spends the money. Obama ought to go on vacation for the next two years, because his time is already over. If the Republicans show up for this meeting and DON'T make that clear, then we are all in trouble.

Can't beat this for satire.

Bet BO has no idea how hilarious he sounds.

Yeah, I think 0bama wants this to be a 3 on 2 hectoring session with cameras rolling.

Don’t go. Just pass the bills and issue the subpoenas.

Yes, he made a show of “listening” to their ideas about health care. He was arrogant and talked the whole time. This will be exactly the same. He will talk and they will waste their time.

You have to be kidding me. Ryan is one of the brightest of shining lights on the Conservative side. He is cogent, articulate and forward thinking. He more than most has his act together. Get real. sd

This is just a way-too-obvious ploy to pre-empt the incoming (Republican) Congress. McConnell should tell Zero that such a meeting would disenfranchise those Americans who voted for Repubs and that he’ll get back to him after the first of the new year.
