A day after President Obama got what he called a "shellacking" in the midterm elections, he took full responsibility for the outcome that turned over the House to the Republicans.
Pundits will spend the next few days poring over the numbers. But judging from the questions reporters asked at the news conference, the defeat is being cast as a clear message from voters that Obama is going in the wrong direction.

For the last two years, the electorate has been subjected to lies about Obama's religion, his heritage and his agenda. These deliberate falsehoods were designed to scare the bejeezus out of anyone who waves the American flag.
Unfortunately, Tuesday's midterm massacre was as much a victory for the fear-mongers as it was for the Republican candidates who sought public office for a noble cause.
Apparently a lot of voters drank up every drop of the Obama-bashers' Kool-Aid.

It never ceases to amaze me how an industry which is on the decline works so hard to tell it's readers that they are utter idiots, and that superior liberals know all the answers. There used to be a time when newspaper reporters lived in middle class communities. Then they became "journalists" and they suddenly became too good for their beer-and-burger neighbors even though their pay didn't match up with their egos.
Mary Mitchell is no different--she has absolutely no clue as to why business won't hire even though every business from the mom-and-pop to the megacorp could tell her why (instability in government). She would do well to come out of her ivory tower every now and then and buy a clue, but that would entail rubbing elbows with the "fear mongers".

Mary, Mary...before writing such booscheeeteau, you should consider this: the ONE hisowndamnself has said that he is a blank canvass and we can paint him how we like. Since there is no definitive proof/documentation, these aren’t lies - he’s just being painted as a muslim socialist from Kenya.

The author ought to mention that Americans have every right to expect that Presidential candidates are forthcoming about themselves, their experience, education, character, associations, etc.
Voters have the right AND A DUTY to properly assess these individuals before making decisions about national leadership.
That said… this ‘President’ has always been criminally and intentionally evasive and ambiguous about his ‘eligibility’ and fitness for the Presidency. Nothing we knew about “O” before his election or that we have come to know since, recommends him for the position he holds. NOTHING!!!
No other candidate in the history of the US has been shown as much leeway on this … AND this ‘President’, in return for such remarkable latitude, has designed an administration demonstrating JUST the same arrogant disregard for legitimacy and traditional rules and procedures as his own!!

And just who were those voters that succumbed to these "lies" Mary? Barak Obama won in 2008 with a healthy margin. Those that didn't vote for him then didn't vote for democrats on Tuesday. IOW, those that succumbed to "fear mongering" were the people that voted for Obama in '08, IOW your friends and colleagues, Mary. And why do you suppose that is, Mary? Look around your office at your dying company--how many people, your friends with gleaming liberal credentials, do you suppose secretly pulled the lever for the "R's"? How many of these people realized that their faith in a wooden messiah failed them and won't put food on the table unless business picks up? Even if you won't stoop to talk to us peons on the street, I would dare say that you can still get your answers by questioning "your people", the Enlightened.
