During his first post-election broadcast Wednesday, conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh pushed back against certain GOP establishment criticisms that the tea party should have nominated more moderate candidates.
Its the Democrats who have lessons to learn from this election, says Limbaugh, not the tea party:

I’m glad to hear Rush speak favorably of O’Donnell, rather than throwing her under the bus.
Christine is a great person, the type you could “bring home to Mom.” We need more like her.
including Christine O'Donnell...
but what I like to think is that all these other candidates ran pretty close races...except Charlotte Bergman who really got drubbed....and it took extra rat money to counter them...
people like Sarah and Christine and Joe Miller and the Colonel West's and the Marco Rubio's are catalyst for the conservative cause...
they are well worth supporting...
and I am glad I did....
RUSH ROCKS!
Thanks very much for posting this.
Money well spent. These candidates caused those libs to sweat. And we can’t forget out the ballot stuffing.
If nothing else, Christine O’Donnell distracted Obama, Biden, Saturday Night Live, msNBC and all the other liberals out there to the point that other Republican and Tea Party candidates were able to benefit. The liberals attacked O’Donnell as the nut. She was the witch. She took the heat in a blue state. Meanwhile, the country was blushing red to the tune of more than 60 U.S. House seats, at least 6 U.S. Senate seats and more than 500 state legislative seats. Plus, the GOP now has a huge advantage with battleground state Governors. Thanks, Christine! Your courage and determination was a key to this historic victory!
Great point. I wrote Rush today about this point. We need to keep giving to the conservative movement one candidate at a time. We cannot move the ball forward with a touchdown everytime.
We won big yesterday and it’s only the beginning of a great awakening of American Patriots.
Just count the silver when she leaves.
Great post!
Stay classy!
God bless you... I’m glad you did too! Our country will one day profoundly thank people like you!
And that statement is based on...?
WTF??
Christine steals cutlery now?
Seriously?
Please provide proof on which your accusation is based!
Her propensity for dishonesty when it comes to personal gain.
For example, her lying to potential donors in another state. Then, when she's caught, she tried another lie. Then, since that was caught, she resorted to her old standyby--the victim/persecuted card.
Interview here, and actual election results here.
Yes, she tried to claim that a 43%-57% loss--14 percentage points!--was a win in Kent County, all to encourage potential donors to fork over some loot.
Then look at
When it was revealed that her alma mater had sued her and won a judgement because she didn't pay her tuition bill, she answered the question by talking about the student loan debt she hadn't paid off for a while (totally separate question, but it looks like many FReepers didn't catch it). When questions arose about money owed, she answered with talk about the erroneous IRS lien (never answering the actual question, but misdirecting people to that different issue). She claimed that her opponents and the press were saying that she lost her house to a sheriff's sale, when they actually didn't...what they had said was that she was scheduled to lose it, but was bailed out--claims that were actually truthful.
BTW, if you read the attachments to the filing, you see that her bosses were finding her unable to prioritize and manage her workload, so they had her report to someone to keep her on track...oh, and he was a -- duh, duh...DUHHH! A Male! >GASP!< She'd also taken vacation with a week's notice right when her bosses had told her a month and a half ahead what a bad time that would be, etc.
But ISI can't talk about all those things, of course, so go read the e-mail exchanges yourself. Quite revealing, but how many Christine O'Donnell supporters have actually read them?
I think this actually relates about how she gave fake and/or misleading academic information on her résumé (e.g., Claremont, Oxford)
Sorry...I'm getting really tired of writing this post and pulling together links that are out there for anyone who really cares about honesty. I realized as I was doing it that there are just a lot of Christine O'Donnell supporters here who know all this, but don't care that she's not really a conservative (but she sure knows how to spout the lines) and is really just a con artist (though she's more Jackson Pollack than Rembrandt).
We could go into her odd habit of bringing in young guys to live with her. Remember how she convinced that guy, Wade Richards, to move in with her so she could "cure" him of his homosexuality and he could be on her staff (no pun intended, really)? (Her only staffer.) Well, I'm sure all the Christine O'Donnell fans have done their due diligence before attacking their fellow FReepers, so I'm sure they are all WELL aware of Wade Richards and how he went on-air many times telling about how he was no longer gay...until at one point he was sick of hiding his same-sex attractions and "came out" again. And her current roommate of David Hust, etc.
But that's not what I care about. What I care about is the fact that she's dishonest through and through, without remorse. Get caught? Lie again. Get caught in that? Get angry and try to derail the question. Still pursued? Claim you're being persecuted.
Not exactly conservative.
And isn't it funny how the Tea Party endorsed candidates as "liberal" as Mike Castle--a man who voted with the Republicans more than against. No, I'm not a fan of his, but I like him more than I like Chris Coons.
And Karl Rove's questions? Turns out Miss O'Donnell never did answer them--and that was Mr. Rove's point...that if she didn't answer them adequately for the Delaware voters, she'd lose.
Sheesh, ease up dude.
I’m with you.
I don’t know Gondring but somebody tell him or her that CHRISTINE O’DONNELL IS GONE!
Tell him or her to ease up on the hatred. Tell him or her to move on.
The stupid Delaware base voters chose her as their candidate in the primary and here, after it’s all over, this person with such an obvious, almost psychotic case of O’Donnell derangement syndrome can’t move on?
Somebody tell Gondring...maybe Christine O’Donnell will DIE, then he or she can rejoice.
There are a lot of people who were supporting the con-artist O’Donnell simply because she had a pretty face. Sadly, it was “conservatives” who were doing so.
