NOW is the time to contact your representatives to let them know what we are expecting out of this incoming Congress.
Let them know we want NO compromise with the Dems, and no spending. We DO NOT want an omnibus spending bill. Make the Senate reject each item of spending, or de-funding, and make THEM defend their vote.
The Dems and the White House has been talking down to the Republicans since 2006 (I know the WH just got into the game in 2008). Don't take it any more.
We now have the purse strings. We now get to decide when and how much to open that purse.
We Won. Act like it.
TOPICS: Government; Miscellaneous
KEYWORDS: activism; chat; congress; elections; vanity
While not a resident of either Ohio or Virginia, I just sent an e-mail to both Boehner and Eric Cantor (as he's reportedly deciding whether to run for the Speakership), saying basically what I wrote above.
We need more pressure on both of them to stand up for themselves and act like leaders--not like abused spouses.

Perhaps, but the more he sees from the “enemy” the more he may be willing to listen.

Show them you are willing to stand up and fight for what you believe in.
If can't (or won't) even send an e-mail, how can we count on you to do anything more substantial?

What about your Senator? We need as many communications coming from "We the People" to both Reps and Sens in Congress.
Make your voice heard!

Perfect. And don’t just stop with one e-mail. Keep at them. Make sure they know we are watching them from the outset.

We need to get organized and make sure Congress hears us.
We can't assume that just because they won, they know what we want.

If you won't contact your own rep, contact Cantor.
Let him know we want a smaller government.

Kind of hard for him to hear when he is buried that deep in Obamaâs rear.
He has no fear of us and would gladly throw himself on sword, spear or hand granade to prove it. He is as dedicated to his religion of ‘Progressivism’ as a Muslim suicide bomber is to theirs.

OK--I can understand that--go around him, over his head, anywhere our voice can be heard. Contact Eric Cantor's office, like I did.
Contact other reps' office. Make sure they can hear us. If they don't pay attention to us, they can't say they weren't warned when they get the boot in 2012.

Glad to hear it. We need to keep it up as well. Once a week, I think, would keep our wishes in the front of their consciousness.
