John Spratt, SC5, losing badly!
Fox News, local

Posted on 11/02/2010 5:30:13 PM PDT by ElenaM

Watching web coverage, looks like John Spratt is going to fall to a conservative. Mulvaney is wiping the floor with him. Spratt was supposed to be unbeatable. Having a great time tonight!

grayson gone?

FANTASTIC! He was like a low-rent Baron Harkonen.

Feingold is gone, let’s hope for Reid to be shown the door as well.

Still a good start to the night.

Oh God, oh please. That’s MY district!

Sack Spratt!

It made me ill to watch Spratt *run* the House Health Care “debate.”

Sorry. John Spratt is a demoocrat, chairman of the budget comittee. Mulvaney is his conservative challenger.

Oh yeah, Clyburn’s district is so gerrymandered he could be dead and buried and STILL win. No surprise there. Spratt is the surprise.

Incidentally, I’m so glad Grayson is gone. I called his office and offered to meet him mano-a-womana over his comments about Wilson and Wilson’s constituents. Needless to say, he didn’t have the cahones to take it. ;-)

I can’t believe that 32-some-odd percent actually voted for Alvin Greene. Makes me really think we need to pass a literacy test before issuing voter registration cards.

Clyburn is from a gerrymandered loaded with blacks district. No surprise. He will be there forever if he wants. I am in Spratts district and he is paying tonight for his Pelosi fest.

Oh yeah. Clyburn’s district is amazing to look at on a map. It stretches from Columbia to Charleston (120 miles) taking in majority-black towns and rural areas along the way. It’s purpose-built to put a black Democrat in Congress, and Clyburn will get elected to it until he dies.

Actually, since this is South Carolina, he’ll probably serve two terms *after* he dies.
