BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - The Secretary of State William R. Galvin says voter turnout is expected to reach record highs. He's projecting a bigger turnout in districts with highly contested congressional races. So far, Barney Franks' district has one of highest turnouts ion the state.
In Newton and North Attleboro, the lines were forming before the polls opened and the flow has been steady all day. People we spoke to say they're coming out to vote on tax issues.
The questions on the ballot were important to them. Some wanted to vote against the incumbent others felt it was important to stop the tide of opposition. Many say with all the hype and advertising they've seen- they simply couldn't stay home.

Barney’s going down in a whole new way.
Massholes in Boston - in love with and worship the government as their king and their god.
Disgusting but funny.
If accurate, Barney could be in trouble.
Good or bad???
Voters’re filing out of cemeteries all over Boston.
If the people say they are mostly voting on tax issues in Barney Frank’s district.....I would say Barney is in deep caca (in more ways than one).
Lets hope that the Massachusetts voters give him a firm spanking (electorally of course).
Hard to tell what this means for the race. I’m also hearing about very high turnout in SC5, but it’s hard to say who it is turning out. Pollsters were saying low turnout favors the GOP even more heavily.
This post made me a little nervous, but then I went to the source article and read the comments - WOW, the people there are PISSED, and the pro-republican comments look like 9-1 or more. The anti-republican (misspelled usually) comments are immediately ‘refudiated’ by lots of replies.
Sorry Charlie, looks like you might be doing DOWN!!
This has to be Repubs and Indis. Why would dems show up in force?
Pray for Election
Since it’s a very Dem district I doubt he’s losing. Wish he was, but a large turnout from a Dem area usually means a Dem win. Hope I’m wrong.
So this could mean one of 2 things:
1: The dems are really scared their nancy-boy will lose and have rushed to the polls.
2: The conservatives believe they have a real shot at taking him out and have stormed the gates.
High turnout in Barney Frank’s district?
Either they’re coming out of the woodwork or they’re coming out of the closet!
ACORN and SEIU busses are being sent to all of the bath houses as we speak.
Barney can move to fire island and wear purple hotpants.
In this district, there are plenty of moonbats to support Barney if they get stirred up. Let’s hope the usually cowed-in-MA majority get out to vote in a volume that outnumbers them.
