Keith Olbermann announced Monday night that he's dropping the "Worst Person in the World" bit -- probably the most popular segment of Countdown with Keith Olbermann -- from the nightly MSNBC broadcast.
"As of right now, I am unilaterally suspending that segment with an eye towards discontinuing it," he said. "We don't know how that works long-term. We might bring it back. We might bring back something similar to it. We might kill it outright."
Olbermann acknowledged that the change was a direct response to Jon Stewart's remarks at the "Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear" that MSNBC and Fox News were essentially two sides of the same coin, saying that he agrees with Stewart that "the tone needs to change.
"Today, given the serious stuff we have to start covering tomorrow, we think it's the right time to do it short-term and then we'll see what happens," Olbermann said, referencing the Nov. 2 elections.
"The anger in this news hour was not an original part of it, nor was it an artifice that we added to it," he declared. "It was a response to a threat to this democracy posed by [former President George W.] Bush."
Both viewers devastated.
Who is Jim Thompson?
Bush’s fault. You knew it was coming.
Jim Thompson is devastated.
Sounds like the pecksniff has his tail between his legs in preparation for the upcoming election results............
Like anybody cares what that ass clown does. Phhht
He is dropping this segment to make room for a new daily segment called, “Liberal MSM Friends who have committed suicide or are now unemployed.”
People watch Olberdouche ?
Comment?
He’s dropping the vicious segment from his show because Comcast will soon be taking over PMSNBC, and he has to tone down his nasty personality if he wants to keep his job. Although, toning down his personality will be impossible as it is his true nature.
Why...I am Jim Thompson. (Really.)
I read about this on DU. Those mindless morons are on suicide watch as their world seems to be crumbling around them. Some of them hate Stewart some hate Olbermann. It’s like driving by a car wreck; you don’t want to look but you just can’t help it.
First, we are not a democracy. We are a republic. Secondly, George Bush is NOT President. He has not been president fr two years.
Sadly, I think the MSNBC viewer still falls for the “it’s Busooooooosh’s fault” line.
What an ass. I'm sure the poor folks who can only afford basic cable and are forced to watch his whinefest each night look forward to the replacement segment, "People Who Are Destroying The World But This Isn't A Negative Segment Like FOX Has".
Kinda like this lunatic (note how the cops just stand by and let him do his routine...)

Jim Thompson was robbed! This is hugh.
If nominated, I won’t run. If elected, I won’t serve.
