Yep, you can get fired for either speaking the truth or going against public opinion these days. It’s hard to win.
Someone needs to tell Bill that these ideas originated from people with a Christian worldview, a religion that he despises. He is right that Islam is incompatible with Western culture, he’s just too stupid to understand why. He’s not the only one that has forgotten his roots.Of course you are right.
Bill is an atheist who hates all religion equally, and it's that sense of "moral equivalence" that is his blindspot.
The fact that he can see that pedophile-founder as equivalent to any other religious leader in human history, is an astound blindness on his part.
The fact that he can't see that "separation of Church and State" is part of a CHRISTIAN tradition that goes back to the very beginning (a tradition TOTALLY lacking in Islam, where State=Church), is a profound blindness on his part.
The fact that he can ignore the past, present and future SLAVE SOCIETY of Islam (and somehow see it as equivalent with Christianity) is an incredible blindness on his part.
So yeah, he got one thing right.
But he continues to get way, way too much wrong.
At least this is a first step ... pretending that a generation of Mohammeds does not mean anything to the culture of England takes intentional blindness

Sounds to me he is trying to reframe the argument back to the truth. Which is actually more deadly with islam, than being called racist. He is rejecting islam.

Maybe Maher is just beginning to realize that he, and those of his liberal ilk, will likely be beheaded FIRST, because of their beliefs and lifestyles, if the Muslims take over.
Maher has been following in the footsteps of Ezra Pound, the poet who broadcast Mussolini’s propaganda during WWII. There will still be work for him to do, assignments given to him to perform, until he becomes expendible.
He will, just before the scimitar swings down.
Finally, Maher understands a wee bit about why he’s allowed to have such a cushy gig.
