Qualls says there was a miscommunication over the ad - but does confirm the matter has been resolved and the ad is airing. He does note the times in the campaign statement are off, stating the ad ran at 3 p.m. ET Monday and is now scheduled to run again at 11:30 pm Monday and on Tuesday at 10 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 3 p.m., and 6 p.m. ET.

Read the O'Donnell campaign's statement:

"The half-hour long special from the O'Donnell campaign was not aired as scheduled on Sunday night and Monday morning. Delaware 28 Executive Producer Tim Qualls explained to the campaign that he was out of the area for the weekend because of a family illness, and was apparently unaware of the campaign's transaction last Friday between a local third-party buyer and Channel 28 employees.

"Mr. Qualls is being incredibly cooperative now that he finally understands the situation, and we cannot thank him enough for helping us get Christine's message out to the voters of Delaware. We are sincerely sorry for any misunderstanding that has transpired and that may have added stress to his family situation.

Sure, it’s a good thing. I’m in favor of it.

But some people are trying to argue that it’s a calamity that it didn’t get aired at a certain time or another.

No, not a calamity.

God works in mysterious ways, and her campaign has been one unusual for its reliance on His provision. May it turn out for His glory, whatever the outcome.

The Lord has a sense of humor, perhaps we will see dirty Delaware dems somehow voting for Pat Buchanan in a write in, or something along those lines.

God Bless Christine

I saw it. Excellent! It’s a shame they didn’t run that a week ago. But, 9 times tomorrow should be worth 2 more percentage points of the vote.

I think Christine is going to win.

the air time for these 5 commericals cost a total of $2500

She raised $4 million and that's what she spent to air this infomercial.

The eventual FEC filings for this campaign are going to make fascinating reading.

If you disagree in the slightest with a confirmed O'Donnell FlavorAid drinker, you will be insulted and you will be accused of having a secret agenda.

Don't take it personally: none of them are capable of having a civil conversation.

It’s also airing on the Fox station out of Salisbury, MD WBOC 16 (or I think it is, or it’s supposed to be) I would guess that that time would cost a lot more than the cable access channel.

In a major market a 30-second primetime network commercial can cost anywhere from $10,000 to $100,000 on a normal day (as opposed to a season finale of a top 10 rated show, a major sporting event, etc.).

Buying a half-hour of time is basically buying 16 commercials (8 minutes of ad time air every half hour, filled in by 22 minutes of TV show).

The net price of that time is less than what you would pay for 16 commercials, because the network pays money to be able to air the show, so the value to the station is the ad money less the amount of money they paid for the content.

The campaign is supplying content for free, and would probably get a break on the ad time as a result.

Salisbury is a minor market - this ad buy could have cost less than $75,000.

Perhaps considerably less depending on the timeslot.

However, Salisbury borders Sussex County, which she will definitely win by a good margin.

Every vote she needs to pick up is in New Castle County, but they did not buy time in Philadelphia, from what I have heard so far.

She received $4 million for 40 days worth of campaigning, or $100,000 a day.

As far as I can tell, the campaign has spent money on a website, a 30 second commercial, a 24 minute commercial, ad buys for the two commercials on local stations and probably a few thousand yard signs and t-shirts, plus most likely several phone banks, several rallies and likely a couple of mailers.

By my calculation, she's spent not much more than a million dollars so far.

If those are the facts you are right. I did know it was a small station.

The size of the crowds at the rallies is interesting. About 10 times as many for her than the Dem? I will enjoy watching those returns tonight!
